Stephen Guy,
My FreedomWorks colleague Matt Kibbe sent you the email below a little while back, but I think it's so important that I wanted you to read it again.
It explains how elections arereally won-- on the ground, not on the air. And FreedomWorks PAC takes pride in being the best around when it comes to running a winning ground game.
It's the final push; let's make these last weeks count and win big November 2nd!

Donate Today
Dear Dick,
Here's something that all the fancy political insiders don't want you to know:
In many competitive Senate races, no more TV time is available for political ads. NONE.
That means the ONLY THING that will make the difference between WIN or LOSE is the same thing that almost always decides it:
Boots on the ground -- and that's what FreedomWorks PAC does better thananyone else in the business. PERIOD.
No other free-market organization has a grassroots army like FreedomWorks PAC.
And nobody else has the technology and infrastructure to turn out voters like FreedomWorks PAC, either -- but we simply can't make it happen without your help, and we need it TODAY.
Click here to make a contribution right now, or keep reading to hear why I'm convinced your help today is so important -- and why it could be the only way for you to make a real difference in this, the most critical election of our lifetime.
You see, with every single second of TV time already bought up in states like Florida and Nevada, the razor-thin margins of victory will come down to a matter of dollars and cents committed to grassroots operations.
Don't waste your hard-earned money on slick TV ads -- in the end, they probably won't ever see the light of day. So why not actually put your dollars to work instead?
FreedomWorks PAC's in-state, on-the-ground operations need your help today. Please click here to make a donation that actually CAN make a difference.
We have a veritable army of volunteers and community leaders in every battleground race across the country, but they need basic tools like walking lists, door hangers and yard signs to maximize their Get-Out-The-Vote impact.
And the truth is, any expert who's honest will tell that it's the personal touch of face-to-face grassroots work that actually changes people's minds -- and their votes. Fancy and expensive TV ads rarely do anything but cost money.
FreedomWorks PAC needs your help to make sure that every door is knocked on,every phone called, and every precinct canvassed in these battleground states.
Please make as generous a donation as you can today -- whether your budget allows a gift of $50, $100, $250 or even up to the maximum of $5,000. This is an investment that goes much further than flashy ads when it comes to actually getting voters to the polls.
Unlike expensive TV time, inflated production costs and sky-high consultant fees, boots on the ground have far more impact, dollar-for-dollar. Even a modest gift of $10 or more goes a long way in a well-run grassroots campaign.
Marco Rubio is neck and neck with turncoat Charlie Crist in Florida, but every ad is already bought and paid for. FreedomWorks PAC is the ONLY WAY you can still make a difference in Marco's race.
The same is true in Sharron Angle's bid to oust far-Left Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Best of all, Nevada is a state that responds especially well to door-to-door efforts.
If you care about winning these absolutely critical battles, and getting the very most out of every dollar you put into this election season, FreedomWorks PAC is your closest ally.
If you can afford more -- terrific! Some generous friends of FreedomWorks PAC have even given $5,000, which is the legal maximum. But if that is simply too much, perhaps you can dig deep and give $50, $100 or $250 instead?
Lots of people remember the TV ads that ran during important elections. I'd rather remember winning those races. If you would too, please click here now and give as much as you can.
Groups with TV ads want the credit. FreedomWorks PAC wants the win. THAT'S principle. I hope you'll join our principled fight for victory -- for constitutionally limited government -- and not for credit.
For victory in November,
Matt Kibbe President and CEO, FreedomWorks Matt Kibbe, President FreedomWorks PAC
P.S. It bears repeating: No more time is available for TV ads in many important races.
First Challenge for Tea Party Post-Election: Ban Earmarks!
Dear Stephen Guy,
You might think that after November 3rd, politicians…especially Republicans…would have gotten the message.
But just a little more than a week since the historic tidal wave of GOP victories in the House and Senate, the old-guard, establishment Republicans in Congress are already backpedaling on a key conservative issue and an important plank in the Contract From America: Earmark Reform.
Senator Jim DeMint has proposed that all Republican Senators commit to a moratorium on all federal earmarks. The issue is set to be decided early next week, during a special meeting that Senate Republicans have scheduled, but some are already balking at the proposal.
To you and me, last week's elections were a clear message that the culture of bloated federal spending and business-as-usual Washington politics will no longer stand.
Unfortunately, some Republicans in the Senate don't seem to be getting the message…at least not yet.
We need to TAKE ACTION NOW -- if you are represented by a Republican Senator CLICK HERE to use FreedomWorks interactive call center that will directly connect you with your Senator's office. Call them, and find out whether they intend to support Mr. DeMint's conference-wide moratorium on earmarked spending. Then encourage your friends and family to do likewise.
This is the first test of the Tea Party movement's resolve. We must apply the same energy we unleashed in the elections to holding these soon-to-be promise-breakers to their word.
Earmarks represent the worst of Beltway politics -- nothing but wasteful spending to grease the wheels for bigger and badder legislation. That's why a logical first step for Republicans who rode to resurgence should be the banning of all pork-laden earmarks -- emblems of wasteful spending and backroom deal-cutting.
TAKE ACTION NOW and help reinforce the fact that Republicans can't take tea party support for granted.
Politely, but firmly, tell their staff that if any politician -- of any party -- hopes to win the support of grassroots Tea Party activists, it's vital they begin IMMEDIATELY showing their support for important reforms of broken Beltway politics.
Their opposition to earmarks will be remembered. Their support of business-as-usual will not be forgotten.
Sincerely,
Dick Armey Chairman, FreedomWorks
P.S. If one or both of your U.S. Senators is a Republican it is vital that you call them and urge their support for Senator DeMint's conference-wide earmark ban -- CLICK HERE! The vote is expected next week, so please forward this email to your friends and family and encourage them to do likewise.

Dear Stephen Guy,
I'm sure you sense what is underway all across America.
And I want to start by thanking you for making this change happen—as this should be a government of, by, and for the people.
Make no mistake: this can be the most sweeping, historic victory for freedom and limited government in any of our lives -- I don't care how old you are.
In fact, a few weeks ago, such a political avalanche seemed a virtual certainty. But I'm afraid that's no longer the case.
It seems in some tight races, the momentum has swung to the Left. So how do we put the Tea Party back in the driver's seat?
We take to the streets. This time, not with signs, but with literature instead.
We go door to door, person to person, and we spread the passion and enthusiasm that brought you and me and the Tea Party together in the first place.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, FreedomWorks PAC has been able to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars printing and distributing voter education materials and establishing a ground-breaking digital network of activists across the county who are working in sync online and door-to-door to drive an historic wave of new voters to the polls.
Now we head into the final push.
Our hardworking network of staff and volunteers will be flooding neighborhoods in battleground races from Alaska to Florida all week long, knocking on doors and Getting Out The Vote.
And to do it, I'm draining every last penny from FreedomWorks PAC's coffers. I don't want to have a single regret on November 3rd. I don't want to have a single "what-if."
I hope you will consider the same commitment. Please, will you dig as deep as possible and make a final emergency investment in an historic victory?
When it's all said and done, and they're writing our story in the history books, do you want to be known as the movement that fizzled out when it really mattered?
Or do you want to be the movement that defied the odds over and over, and finally proved all the "experts" wrong by ringing in a victory they'll talk about for decades to come?
What happens next Tuesday is not merely an election. It's not even just a referendum on the Obama-Pelosi-Reid agenda, as the media is fond of saying.
It is a decision on whether we rededicate ourselves and our nation to the principles which define the uniquely American experiment -- constitutionally-constrained government, individual liberty, and free enterprise -- or we let these principles and our movement fade into oblivion.
Will we take responsibility for the governance of our nation like we're supposed to, or will we choose to let a powerful elite in a distant capital city decide for us how we shall live?
In the spirit of recommitting America to our founding principles, I ask you one last time before Election Day to commit yourself financially to those principles as well.
We all know our founders sacrificed their lives, fortunes and sacred honor for those ideals. What sacrifice are you able to make today?
We must not squander this opportunity! If we falter now, in this critical hour, we will get no second chance. Failure at this moment could spell the end of our movement.
Opportunity like this knocks once in a lifetime, if that. For generations of freedom activists, such an opportunity never knocked at all. It is up to you and me to seize it with all our might.
The maximum legal contribution is $5,000, and a few generous friends of FreedomWorks PAC have answered the call and stepped up with that much in these final days.
But I realize a gift of that magnitude is out of the question for most people. So any amount you can spare -- even as little as $25 or $10 -- goes a long way and is greatly appreciated.
As I said before, I'm emptying FreedomWorks PAC's bank account. Every penny we receive today WILL BE SPENT electing principled limited-government candidates in competitive races.
Barack Obama Attacks Tea Party movement and FreedomWorks
"I don't think this is a secret. Dick Armey and FreedomWorks, which was one of the first organizational mechanisms to bring the Tea Party movement together…"
"Their anger is misdirected."
-- Barack Obama, Rolling Stone 9/28/10
Dear Stephen Guy,
Can you believe that?!
Barack Obama thinks Tea Partiers are angry at him, but only because they don't know any better. Or even worse, because FreedomWorks has DUPED them into it!
I knew he was out of touch, but this is getting ridiculous.
What he calls anger, I call passion. And let me tell you, it's pointed in EXACTLY the right direction.
Passion for liberty, directed at the overreaching government policies which rob us of freedom.
Passion for the Constitution, directed at the arrogant politicians who violate its limitations.
Passion for free markets, directed at the excessive taxation and regulation which destroy prosperity.
The truth is, there's plenty of misdirection going on. But it's Mr. Obama who is doing the misdirecting.
He's misdirecting our economy toward joblessness and poverty. He's misdirecting our people toward servitude and tyranny. He's misdirecting our nation toward weakness and mediocrity.
By adding your name to this growing list of American citizens, you will declare to President Obama, the media, and the world EXACTLY what it is your passion is directed at:
- Generation-robbing deficits and debt which threaten to destroy the American Dream for all posterity;
- Crippling new cap-and-trade taxes on energy, hikes in the personal income tax, and a host of other redistributionist tax schemes that rob the American people of the fruits of their labor;
- Government takeovers of our healthcare system and freedom-crushing individual mandates;
- Bailouts of irresponsible and rightfully-failing banks, businesses and labor unions;
- Foolish economic theories which have deepened our recession and sent unemployment skyrocketing.
Honestly, FreedomWorks would love to be able to take credit for the pro-freedom movement sweeping America. But you and I both know the truth; that this citizen uprising is a response to an overbearing Washington and exacerbated by Barack Obama's agenda and steadfast commitment to failed anti-liberty ideas.
And it's a movement that's growing! We are about to fundamentally transform Congress on November 2nd. But we can't let Barack Obama diminish our message by claiming it's "misdirected."
That's why it's absolutely critical we add as many names to this chorus of passion for freedom today. Here's how you can help:
1) Forward this email to all of your friends who care about the future of America.
Right now, we are running online banner ads on like-minded new sites. We also hope to run radio, TV and print advertisements as well, if the support is there. So please, if you want to help FreedomWorks launch this major marketing campaign, please make a generous donation after you've signed.
Ultimately though, the internet is where this will go viral and spread like wildfire. So here's how your donation can help immediately spread the word:
We've already launched the online ads across the internet, but since this attack was unexpected, I haven't budgeted for this campaign. FreedomWorks is counting on an influx of funds to keep our ads running and the word spreading.
Because we want to reach at least 10 MILLION new supporters in the next week alone, we're hoping a few generous donors will come forward and help fund 1 MILLION ads (10% of target) by sending $2,500.
With that said, even donations of $50, $100 or $250 will go a long way. And what makes FreedomWorks supporters so great is not that we have a few big bankrollers -- it's that we have thousands of friends who can send $50 or more when it really counts.
P.S. When Barack Obama told Rolling Stone magazine that the Tea Party movement was "misdirected," and that FreedomWorks was responsible, I knew it would be tough to get the truth out there.
I'd like to take just a moment to highlight some FreedomWorks' online tools you can take advantage of to start Taking America Back -- today!
These tools are all housed in our Take America Back War Room, which you can visit right now by clicking here. There you can connect with other activists or host you own protests through our Ning site, invite your friends to join our campaign, view a video blueprint of our plan, or check out our Political Action Committee (PAC).
You see, as a member of FreedomWorks, you are also a member of FreedomWorks PAC, which is the electoral wing of our family of organizations. At our PAC site you can find information about our endorsed "Champions of Freedom" -- candidates who are dedicated to the principles of limited government and free markets who our PAC is working hard to get elected.
But in order to get access to this material, you will need to click here to log in to our PAC website, confirming you are a member. If you have not already set up a login, I strongly encourage you to do so today by clicking here. It will only take a moment.
Our PAC is at the center of our Take America Back campaign. Not only do we endorse candidates to draw attention to key races in the fight for freedom, but we also target various "Enemies of Liberty" as well -- candidates who we are working to oust from public office.
Also, FreedomWorks is active in the social networks as well. Why not click below to become a fan on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, or subscribe to our YouTube channel?
And please remember to visit our War Room here, and I'd particularly like to encourage you to visit our PAC website here to set up a login to see in which races FreedomWorks PAC will be fighting for limited government.
Sincerely,
Matt Kibbe President and CEO, FreedomWorks
