I can hardly believe I am writing this but I am leaning toward Gingrich for President. I have reread the chapter RINOs and Chameleons in my book. I know Gingrich will always do what is in his own best interest. However, I have come to believe that what is in our Country’s best interest is, at least for the long-term foreseeable future, also in the best interest of Newt Gingrich.
I firmly believe that if we conservatives get behind Gingrich, he will clean Obama’s clock. That is the bottom line. Then, I am convinced that with a Republican House and Senate, Gingrich would recognize that we have an opening to return our country back to being the world’s dynamic leader, not just another borrower of Chinese money. He won’t want to let a legacy of restoring prosperity and individual freedom slip away from him.
The Republican elitist won’t be able to stonewall and intimidate Gingrich. He has been among their leadership too long for that. He knows where the skeletons are buried; he probably held the shovel on occasion. I like Bachmann and Cane but the corrupt news media would eat them alive, as they did with Palin.
Gingrich knows the game and has the strength and experience to overcome the malicious attacks by the socialist 4th Estate.
It is time to fight fire with fire. Given the power to do what needs to be done, Gingrich will transform from paclderm to American eagle. Let us expand our numbers in the House, take the Senate and put an experienced powerhouse in the White House.
The President of the United States, and many within his party, have openly declared that the American taxpayers who are fed up with excessive taxation, massive wasteful spending and a government intent on controlling every aspect of our lives, are enemies of the state.
After the 1992 trial that acquitted all four LA police officers in the brutal beating of Rodney King, riots broke out resulting in at least 55 people being killed and a billion dollars in property damage. Mr. King went before TV cameras and gave a passionate plea for the violence to end. He said, “Can we get along? We can all get along. Let’s try to work it out.” Well, let’s see how well this is working out by reviewing some recent Democrat/socialist rhetoric.
“The real enemy is the Tea Party – let’s remember that.” Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL)
“As far as I’m concerned – the Tea Party can go straight to hell.” and “We have to stand up and fight. It’s fight time…we’re not afraid of the Tea Party.” Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA)
“We took names. We watched how they voted. We know where they live.”
Obama confidant and former SEIU President, Andy Stern
“Everybody here’s got a vote. Let’s take these sonofbitches out.” Jimmy Hoffa Jr. Teamster President at an Obama campaign rally.
“We’re going to punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends…” Remarks to a Latino audience by President Barrack Obama.
Just a couple days ago, 72-year old Oscar winning actor Morgan Freeman had this to say: The Tea Party Movement “just shows the weak, dark, underside of America.”
I don’t know about the rest of my Tea Party Movement brothers and sisters, but I am sick and tired of turning the other cheek in the name of civility. What morons within the RNC thought it a good idea to have a Republican debate with MSNBC as the moderators? Even with FOX as moderators, all the questions are aimed at pitting the Republican candidates against one another and avoiding exposure of the Obama administration and their record of economic destruction and class warfare.
Did anyone else get ticked off at John Boehner for attending and speaking at the House Ways and Means Committee ceremony unveiling Charlie Rangel’s official portrait?
This came less than one year after Rangel (D-NY) was found guilty on 11 counts of ethics violations! The portrait cost an estimated $65,000. The news media claims this is a non-issue as it was paid out of Rangel’s “campaign cash.” Really? Is that the same as “Obama stash?”
Speaking of Speaker Boehner and my being ticked off at his attitude of appeasement, the golf summit with him, Obama, John Kasich and Joe Biden last summer did nothing but provide the Obama Administration with cover for their actions. This leaky eyed elitist RINO irritates me to no end. Man-up!
Let’s get back to Mr. Freeman. America has been VERY good to him. He is a superb actor and up until his comments last week, I supported his career with my feeble and ever shrinking discretionary income. I have probably paid to see almost every movie in which he has been featured. Never again. Oh, and I read something this morning that gave me insight as to Mr. Freeman’s views on life. He is of the Woody Allen School on family relationships. It has been reported that Mr. Freedman has had a 10-year “relationship” with his step-granddaughter, now 27 years old. Rumors have it that the woman believes that Freedman will marry her. Very progressive of him but perhaps he should withhold his lectures on the Tea Party Movement until…forever.
Incidentally, Mr. King, who was awarded $3.8 million in damages, was engaged in 2010 to one of the jurors who awarded the settlement. She reportedly claimed they first felt a “romantic spark” the day after the 1994 controversial jury award while at a pizza restaurant in Newport Beach, California. Isn’t that sweet? At least they are not related.
Sadly, Mr. King, we cannot all just get along. There are many individuals in positions of power that are dedicated to the redistribution of wealth and the destruction of this great country.
These parasites will not stop until they have destroyed their host or We the People have neutralized them. They call us “enemy.” I accept this characterization with pride! Bring it on.

In 2008, the leftist media and the elitist establishment picked McCain as the Republican opponent to Obama. They wanted someone at least somewhat left of center and a candidate who would not energize the conservative base. It is called hedging your bet. If their guy didn’t win, they at least wanted someone who was aligned with most of their agenda. Win big or win a little but win either way. After all, for the good of mankind, the ruling class must maintain control of the masses.
The problem for the establishment this time around is that We the People no longer blindly accept what the bias media is trying to force feed us. They made a critical tactical error when they attacked the Tea Party Movement. They called us terrorists, Nazis and racists. They picked out the one sign in a thousand that fit their narrative and focused on it. They never even tried to determine if the person holding the sign was a plant by those seeking to discredit the Tea Party. The goal of the media was to dishearten and discourage the people’s grassroots movement. This tried and true tactic not only failed, it backfired. Rather than extinguish the fire in our bellies, it was a catalysis that bound us together.
This time around the ruling class is having a far more difficult time anointing their “opponent.” At first it was Romney that was the only one who stood a chance to beat Obama. However, when conservatives were underwhelmed (little problem with Massachusetts mandatory health care), they unveiled for all to see and be enamored by…Rick Perry.
Is this blog post an attack on Perry? No. I think he might well make as good a President as Bill Clinton, Bush 41 and/or Bush 43. Under no circumstance would he continue the policies of Obama that are literally destroying the U.S. economy and putting our country in grave danger. Whomever we select to oppose Obama must win. All I am saying is that this time, we must choose our candidate and not have that person thrust upon us. Perry is not a Ronald Reagan. Goggle Perry. Do your homework on him before making a decision or a donation. Look carefully at what he has done over the past several years. Whenever possible we must judge politicians by what they have done, not what they say they will do.
The leftist media and the DC ruling class will actually tell us who they want to run against. Remember how McCain was the media darling (Maverick John McCain)? Use common sense and logic. If the media plays someone up as our best hope of defeating Obama, ask yourself this question. Would a football manager tell the opposition how best to defeat his own team?
Consider how the news media hid the actions of John Edwards. Reflect on how they refused to vet Obama while sending hordes of “journalist” to turn over every rock in Alaska looking for dirt on Palin. I suggest we give serious consideration to those the media despises. The more the media vilifies a candidate, the more closely we should evaluate that person for consideration.
One of the media tricks used to drive their progressive agenda is to always portray the Tea Party as either the Right or the Far Right. Some do this with malicious intent, others out of ignorance. Regardless, the premise is fallacious. We in the Tea Party movement must change this paradigm.
Today we watch the UK, France, Greece, Spain and others unravel. Yet, our corrupt media continues to enable U.S. liberal politicians in pushing our country toward European socialism. MSNBC is hopeless. ABC, CBS and NBC are only slightly better. Fox talks a lot about fair and balanced and sometimes they are. However, all media base their reporting on the Tea Party Movement with the same erroneous bias. The media wants everyone to just accept that Nancy Pelosi is the left of center, John McCain is the center and the Tea Party is the right of center.
The Tea Party Movement is not the Right! Ron Paul is the Right; Timothy McVeigh is the Far Right. Nancy Pelosi is the Left; Bill Ayres is the Far Left. We, the Tea Party, are the center.
Elitist RINO John McCain on the Senate floor this past week called those of us who believe in the fight to secure a balanced budget amendment and entitlement reforms, “Tea Party Hobbits.” McCain said we thought we “could return to Middle Earth having defeated Mordor.”
Who the hell does this guy think he is? Is this all a joke to him?
We have 9.2% unemployed with millions of others living in fear of losing their jobs. Our economy is in such dire straits from out of control spending and printing paper money out of fairy dust that the IMF recently issued a report on a possible replacement for the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency.
This raise in the debt ceiling fiasco has been a great excuse for the news media to ignore the Obama Administration’s sale of weapons to Mexican drug cartels, resulting in the murder of at least one U. S. Border Agent and countless other men, women and children. Over 1,700 guns sold illegally, some to known felons, in 15 months.
Operation Fast and Furious was a deliberate strategy and violation of the law in an attempt by our government to blame cartel gun violence on Unites States gun stores. According to House Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, Attorney General Eric Holder is stonewalling the investigation. Operation Fast and Furious makes Nixon’s Watergate pale by comparison. Yet, the media (other than Fox News) and our politicians bury this story with yet another “the world is coming to an end” trumped up crisis.
Yes, we needed to address the debt ceiling. Did we have to do it by August 2nd? No, we didn’t.
Moody’s Investors Service announced Friday that while a rise in the debt ceiling was necessary, it “would not put the nation’s AAA credit rating back on solid footing.” Our problem is spending, not revenue. We need to get government off the backs of businesses small and large so they can feel safe to start hiring. We could dramatically increase revenue by seriously shrinking government, restraining the EPA and adopting reasonable tax laws. We can’t have General Electric and 49% of the people not paying any income tax. If this makes me a Hobbit to John McCain, so be it.
To the 22 who voted “no” after Boehner commanded you all to “get your ass in line,” I salute you. Please get the list of 22; print it out and support these people in 2012. To others who fought the good fight as long as you could, I truly appreciate the effort. I am on the side of the millions like Rush Limbaugh who felt we should have never given up. Still, I respect those who did their personal best. When people of integrity like Laura Ingram, Thomas Sowell and Allen West supported the Boehner Bill Part 2, I will respectfully agree to disagree.
Speaking of Rep. Allen West, he would never have voted for a bill because of a threat by Boehner or anyone else. He would do what he considered the right thing in spite of the threat. West stated he wanted Cut, Cap and Balance, which passed the House. They should have stood firm. We are all being played and the time draws near to end this game.
Barrack Obama is the head of a gangster organization that has control of the United States government. This administration has no regard for the rule of law.
One of the first blatant signs of just how contemptuous this administration would act towards law abiding citizens was when tax and bankruptcy laws were openly cast aside to benefit the UAW. The theft of money owed Chrysler’s secured creditors overturned 100 years of bankruptcy law and threatens all Fifth Amendment protections of property rights. That was just the beginning.
In addition to being socialist, many in the administration are racist. Attorney General Eric Holder, who serves at the whim of the President, is a prime example. Anyone who saw the video of the New Black Panther Party members in front of a polling station in 2008 instantly recognized their threat and intimidation. Holder dropped the slam dunk case against these men. Why? According to Justice attorney Christopher Coats in testimony before the U. S. Commission on Civil Rights, there exist “a deep-seated opposition to equal enforcement of the Voting Rights Act against racial minorities and for the protection of whites who have been discriminated against.” The rule of law does not apply to unions, (non-conservative) minorities and other influential supporters of The Boss.
Can’t get Cap n Trade passed over the objections of Congress. No problem. Just turn regulation writing and enforcement over to the EPA. Can’t get amnesty for illegal aliens (new Obama voters), no problem. The Obama administration has a plan to grant legal status to illegal aliens without going through the pesky Congressional process. It is commonly referred to as “stealth amnesty.” The Obama Justice Department is on record that it will not enforce current federal immigration laws. In fact, admits that it suspended the deportation of more than 34,000 illegal aliens in 2010 alone.
So many flouts to our Constitution and rules of law and so little space for this blog. Let me conclude with the war in Libya.
With a straight face, the administration claims the President does not have to abide by the 1973 War Powers Act because we are not at war. They claim our military is just involved in a “kinetic military action” or a “limited military action.” We are dropping bombs on Libya destroying property while killing and maiming men, women and children. If a country was doing the same to us, Congress and Obama would declare an act of war immediately. Congressman Tom McClintock had this to say: “The House has just considered whether to authorize war with Libya (HR2278). It has specifically, categorically and decisively rejected it. The President is now on notice that he is in direct defiance of Congress.”
The response to Congress by mob boss Obama has been eerily similar to the famous line, “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn.”

Tyranny in Stockton
June 8, 2011
The U. S. Department of Energy was formed on August 8, 1977 by President Jimmy Carter. On October 17, 1979 the U. S. Department of Education was formed by President Carter. If anything, we are more dependent on foreign oil now than in 1977. We have no obvious energy policy other than to block the use of our own natural resources. Our public schools are a disaster; education of our children has declined while propagandizing for a one-world order, socialist agenda has permeated every level beginning in elementary and culminating in our nation’s universities.
Just how dangerous is the Department of Education?
In the spring of 2010, it was widely reported that the U. S. Department of Education was purchasing 27 Model 870 police 12-gauge shotguns to be assigned to the Office of the Inspector General (OIG). When numerous queries came in asking why the U. S. Department of Education required, or would even want, 27 shotguns with 14-inch barrels, they published the following:
“The Office of Inspector General is the law enforcement arm of the U.S. Department of Education and is responsible for the detection of waste, fraud, abuse, and other criminal activity involving Federal education funds, programs, and operations. As such, OIG operates with full statutory law enforcement authority, which includes conducting search warrants, making arrests, and carrying firearms.”
On June 7th, federal agents of the OIG served a search warrant on the home of Kenneth Wright in Stockton, CA. If that sounds innocuous, it was anything but.
About 15 federal agents broke down his door at 6AM, put him in handcuffs, grabbed him by the back of the neck and removed him from his home. Mr. Wright, who was only in his undershorts, was forced to the ground in his front yard. While he was held down with a knee in his back, the agents woke up his 3 children, ages 3, 7 and 11. Mr. Wright and his children were placed in a patrol car for 6 hours while the house was searched. The kids were traumatized and Mr. Wright, who has no criminal record, was humiliated.
It is reported that the OIG was looking for Wright’s estranged wife who does not reside at the residence. Justin Hamilton, a spokesman for the U. S. Department of Education refused to say specifically why the raid took place.
It is frightening enough that the Department of Homeland Security can terrorize law abiding citizens with impunity. Now it is the Department of Education!
Is your family next?

Horns of a Dilemma
June 7, 2011
Congressman Tom McClintock, CA-04, has long been a critic of the U.S. Forest Service. Now that he is Chairman of the Water and Power Subcommittee of the House Natural Resources Committee, he has the perfect forum to act on his concerns.
In the Water and Power Subcommittee Hearing last week, Chairman McClintock had this to say in connection with H. R. 489, authored by Congressman Paul Gosar: “This bill arises from the bureaucratic intransigence, megalomania and abuse that has become the new hallmark of this rogue agency.” He went on to say, “Having watched the Forest Service’s abusive behavior in my own district, I have no doubt that it is deliberately attempting to create conditions that would ultimately expel these long-established communities from the national forests. This is a pattern of abuse we are watching across the western United States.”
In a letter to USDA Forest Service Chief Thomas Tidwell dated December 22, 2010, McClintock wrote: “In May of 2009 and April of 2010, some of my California colleagues and I sent letters expressing concern with needlessly stringent travel management restrictions across Region 5. I have also had several conversations in my office with you personally in which I expressed the growing perception of my constituents that an attitude now permeates your agency that its principal purpose is to discourage the public’s use of the public’s land.” The Congressman concluded with, “During our discussions, I avowed my intention to seek redress by Congress if the Forest Service continued to drift back to the exclusionary policies of pre-Charter England. I write today to affirm that intention.” The Pacific Southwest Region, commonly referred to as Region 5, consists of 20 million acres and 18 national forests.
In January 2010, Congressman Wally Herger (CA-02) put out a statement regarding the Forest Service proposal to ban off-highway vehicles (OHVs) from its Maintenance Level (ML) 3 roads. “It is difficult to fathom how it continues to maintain its position on ML-3 roads despite the guidance of the CHP and the input of local government and stakeholders.”
Mr. Les Joslin teaches wilderness management for Oregon State University and edits the Pacific Northwest Forest Service Association’s quarterly newsletter. On March 6, 2011, Mr. Joslin posted, The Future of America’s National Forests Depends on Revised Laws and a Restored U.S. Forest Service. In this post he wrote, “Few would dispute the notion that the National Forest System and the U.S. Forest Service are impaled on the horns of a dilemma of dysfunction. On one horn is the lack of a clear-cut role for the national forests. On the other is the lack of an agency staffed by professional forest officers at all levels able to efficiently and effectively manage those lands.”
At a Regional Forest Service Roundtable on August 25, 2010, Congressman McClintock remarked: “For generations, the U.S. Forest Service maintained a balanced approach to the management of our forests …Now, it seems to be following a very different policy of exclusion, expulsion and benign neglect…”

Thomas Jefferson - Right or Wrong
A fellow two-time “March on Washington” friend of mine, Bruce Cerrone, sent me a piece on the major accomplishments and quotes of Thomas Jefferson. I agree with President Kennedy who considered Jefferson a genius. I contend Jefferson was also a prophet of uncanny accuracy.
Jefferson said “The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who are not.” Anyone who could not site a long list of this happening since the days of President Johnson, and enhanced on steroids under President Obama, should not bother reading anything I write.
Jefferson said, “It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principal which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.” Wow! What a radical thought. I guess President Obama was too busy reading the likes of James Cone’s Black Theology and Black Power to study Jefferson. As the dollar continues to plummet, our nation becomes weaker. It is only a matter of time before this emboldens a foreign power to test us. China attacks Taiwan? Russia invades Georgia? North Korea attacks South Korea? Iran, Syria and Egypt overrun Israel? For those under 30 who were not home schooled, I was referring to Georgia the country, not Georgia the state. That would be a few years down the road.
Jefferson, “My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.” Ronald Reagan must have read the same history. Perhaps this helps explain why every Mayor of Detroit for the past half-century were Democrats (how has that worked out for you Detroit?). It was reported this past week that 47% of the citizens of Detroit are functionally illiterate. This occurred in spite of our spending roughly $3,000 more per student than the national average. I suspect few 2011 Detroit high school graduates will be attending the University of Virginia, founded by Thomas Jefferson.
Jefferson, “To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.” Abortion, subsidies to terrorist nations, ACORN (by any name), Fannie May… fill in your own favorites. The choices are many. Oh, did you see that Fannie May is now asking the government (us) for an additional $8.5 billion in aid! That would bring the total to nearly $100 billion. Isn’t that just wonderful? Everyone in America has the “right” to own a home, regardless of their ability to pay for it. Just take the money from Fannie May and let them replace it with Obama Stash.
Jefferson also said that, “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” On this, I pray Jefferson is proven wrong. We will see come November 2012.

One Half of One Third
April 11, 2011
In blogs posted November 14 (Party Leadership) and again on December 12 (Bounce Boehner) I pleaded with the Republicans in Congress first to not allow Boehner to become Speaker of the House and, when that fell on deaf eyes, to fire him.
All we have to do is listen to the left-wing media’s praise for Boehner after the budget fiasco to understand who they want to remain as speaker. Boehner said today on Fox and Friends that he wanted to lock arms with President Obama and jump out of the boat together. If they had cement blocks tied to their ankles, I would enthusiastically support his desire.
The Republican leadership capitulated. Their next surrender will be the debt ceiling.
It was Shakespeare in Henry VI who famously wrote, “The first thing we do is kill all the lawyers.” If the Bard were to pen those words today, Homeland Security would whisk him away to an unknown location for an indeterminate length of time.
Actually, I am a reasonable man with copious amounts of compassion. I would prefer to say: “First we give them 30 days to resign their positions. If they fail to do this, we kill all the lawyers serving more than two terms in Congress…and all lobbyists.” That would cull the herd of vandals.
Congress and the Administration is stealing our money and spending us into poverty. They do so with impunity.
The Central Bank of Libya received 73 loans from the U. S. Federal Reserve in the 18 months after Lehman Brothers collapsed. While creditworthy small businesses here at home could not secure affordable loans ( thus stifling job growth) Libya was provided tens of billions of dollars in credit.
Since 2008, we have lost 2 million private sector jobs. A week ago, the total public debt outstanding of the United States was $14.2 trillion or 96.3% of GDP. That ranked 12th worst in the world. Yet, DC politicians of both parties refuse to make the spending cuts vital to the national security of our nation. At what point do we accept that their actions represent treason?

March 20, 2011.
Once More Unto The Breach
We are rapidly approaching the time when
elitist within the RNC, along with a few thousand voters in Iowa and New
Hampshire, will provide us with another candidate for President that
either has no chance to win (Dole & McCain), or are U. N. loving,
conservatives in name only. One look at the current leader board being
thrust upon us and clearly We the People must conduct an immediate and
radical interdiction. If not, we will be asked to hold our noses and
vote for the lesser of two evils, again. It does not have to be that
way.
There is a Reagan Republican in our midst. This man knows that the
United States is a force for good in this world. He is a man who knows
that the government that governs the least is the one that governs the
best. That person is Congressman Allen West. Please Goggle him and watch
a few YouTube videos of him speaking. His candor will make you want to
stand up and cheer.
There is a grassroots campaign to try and convince him to run for
President. I recently sent the letter below to his Florida and DC
offices. Please join me and encourage Lt. Col. West to run for President
in 2012.
Dear Lt. Col. West:
I doubt that I will sign up with the group that is trying to
convince you to run for President. This is only because like the wise
old sage Groucho Marx once said, “I would never join any club who would
have someone like me as a member.” However, know that I truly believe
that our Republic needs you… now.
I cannot imagine anyone wanting to be President of the United
States. I also believe that anyone who wants to be President should
never be President. So it came as no surprise to hear you say that it
wasn’t your time. To paraphrase, you had not yet paid your dues. Please
consider this:
When you made the decision to put the welfare of your soldiers
above your career and the financial wellbeing of your family, God
smiled. You have indeed paid your dues.
When our new Republic was fraying at the seams and about to come
apart, some patriots went to Mount Vernon. When they asked Washington to
once again lead our nation, he responded something like, “Have I not
yet done enough for our Country?” Of course, he knew there was never a
choice. Special men like George Washington and Allen West make the hard
choices. It is in your heart. It is in your DNA. It is both your curse
and your blessing.
On page 74 of my tiny CliffNotes version of what was destroying
America (AR2010), I wrote: “Lt. Colonel (Retired) Allen West is running
for a congressional seat in Florida. This man is a proven combat leader,
not a pentagon Colonel. Check out the 6 minute YouTube “Bayonets”
speech. He would make Ronald Reagan proud. If Colonel West was President
rather than Barrack Obama, the world would be a safer place; safer
because weakness, real or imagined, leads to aggression by others.”
I have absolutely no right to ask you once more unto the breach.
No one does. But…your country needs you. She is in peril. You know this
far better than I do.
Representatives King and Bachmann have issued a
letter to the House leadership urging them to rescind the $105 billion
that was hidden within the 2.900 page bill to immediately fund Obama
Care. According to Bachmann, Section 402 of this bill provides for$16
billion of this money to be spent in any manner deemed appropriate by
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. Also, under Section 1311(a), Sebelius
is allowed to take money direct from the Treasury and give any amount to
any State without having to secure approval from Congress. With the
2012 elections just around the corner, is there any doubt Kathy will
deem the blue state of California, the SEIU and ACORN (by any other
name) as worthy?
King and Bachmann want House Speaker Boehner to insert a provision in
the new Continuing Resolution (CR) to fund the government that would
rescind this massive theft. According to a flash Tea Party Patriots’
email, Speaker Boehner’s response was that he would not “break the
rules” by including a defunding provision in the next CR. There are so
MANY things wrong with Boehner’s response, not the least of which is A)
He has waived the rules for other issues and B) His party is now the
majority and make the rules.
So, the Republican leadership has done their level best to convince
their more conservative members to understand why they should not keep
their promises to those who put them in office. Part of that promise was
to cut a paltry $100 billion from the budget this year. After much
blow-back, they came up with just over $61 billion in cuts. Come on! The
government added $3 trillion to the national debt over the past 2
years. To put this in perspective, if you were spending $2,000 a month
on necessities such as food, rent, insurance, etc. and realized you had
to cut expenses or go bankrupt, this would be like cutting your
discretionary spending by 6 cents a month. Yet, they are still arguing
over this.
Now that we know of this $105 Billion liberal slush fund, anyone in
Congress who does not support King and Bachmann in their position of
immediately rescinding this atrocity is not serious about opposing Obama
Care.
The House leadership is saying they want to secure a 3-week
Continuing Resolution and are demanding cuts of $6 billion or they will
not pass it, allowing the government to shut down. Really. According to
Senator Mark Warner (D), our debt increases by $4 billion a DAY! So
under this brilliant plan the debt will have a net increase of another
$78 billion at the end of the 6 weeks.
It never stops. We are approaching $14 Trillion in debt and on the
verge of becoming a second tier nation. With all this, what does
Congress focus on? Last Friday Congressman McClintock sent out an
e-letter to announce the 2011 Congressional Arts Competition, a
nationwide high-school art competition sponsored by the U.S. House of
Representatives. They just don’t get it.
Our politicians make Nero appear to have been a pro-active leader. We
are rapidly running out of time to save our Republic. This is a threat
to our very sovereignty. Glen A. Amos
Many positive things are being brought forth by the 112th Congress. There is real hope for our country.
Last week, Senators Jim DeMint and Mike Enzi introduced the Better Use of Light Bulb Act (BULB). The purpose of BULB is to repeal the provisions of the Energy Independence Act of 2007 relating to a ban of incandescent light bulbs. Michele Bachmann tried to correct this assault on the Constitution and the American economy when she proposed the Light Bulb Freedom of Choice Act in 2008. Of course, she had no chance of success with the 111th Congress.
For those who have not followed this brainchild of the EPA and don’t understand what all the fuss is about, please consider:
The light bulb is a Thomas Edison invention. However, the last incandescent bulb manufacturer in the United States closed September 2010. We get our compact fluorescent light bulbs from China. Thanks EPA. If our government can dictate the type of light bulb we use in our houses, they can demand that we buy health insurance. They could nationalize a car company and then support a false negative story about a competing car manufacturer (sticking accelerators). Under the guise of saving the 3-imch smelt fish, the EPA could shut off water to the California big valley and turn 800,000 acres of productive farm land into a dust bowl. This could just all be paranoia except it has already happened.
The packaging on CFL’s claim they will last 10,000 hours of continuous use. That sounds impressive but simple math reveals that to be less than 14 months. These bulbs burn out much quicker when turned off and on. Many consumers report their CFL’s lasting less than 9 months. CFL’s contain mercury, a neurotoxin that can cause kidney and brain damage. Eventually, all bulbs burn out or break. When this happens, you have an expensive hazardous waste disposal problem to resolve.
As Eco-terrorists are the most strident supporters of the current EPA, I find it bitter irony that China has reopened mercury mines as the global mercury prices increase. These mines are poison to animals, rivers and people. Where is the compassion for Mother Earth?
Lest we forget, it was George W. Bush who signed into law the Energy Independence Act of 2007. Senator Fred Upton (R) was recently appointed Chairman of the House Energy & Commerce Committee. This is the same Fred Upton who was a champion of the CFL in 2007. We Tea Party types made it clear we did NOT want Upton in this key position. Speaker of the House Boehner ignored our wishes.
There are problems with the Republican leadership. We saw that when they tried to renege on their promise to cut $100 billion of spending in 2011. The true conservatives in the House stood their ground and kept faith with the voters. These good people will tell you that they could not possibly have succeeded without our support. They need us behind them and they need us to be vocal and visible if they are to overcome both the liberal Democrats and their own go-along-to-get-along leadership. Our country can no longer afford a silent majority.
The Progressives/Liberals have had a playbook that hasn’t changed much over the past three decades or so. We are all aware of their feints, illusions and distortions by now. We have seen them enough times that we can predict them with greater accuracy than could Nostradamus. Their playbook doesn’t change. They spew hatred while demanding civility. They accuse us of racism and homophobia. They say conservatives don’t care about children and their education. According to liberals, it matters not a whit to us if the elderly are faced with starvation. People have heard these false charges so often they have begun to boomerang on those who voice them. Good! It is about time.
Only the truly ignorant and or government dependent would continue to put liberal Democrats into office decade after decade while their communities disintegrate around them. There is a YouTube video showing pictures of Detroit. Michigan and Hiroshima, Japan a few days after the atomic boom was released over Hiroshima. These were followed by a set of pictures of what these two cities look like today. Hiroshima is a thriving, productive metropolis while Detroit is the abandon slum. Many blocks of houses in Detroit were reduced to zero value (or less) and have been bulldozed to prevent their use as “safe” havens for crime. The last Republican mayor of Detroit left office in January of 1962.
In 2008, Snoops published a list of our top 10 poorest cites with the highest poverty rate. They all have one thing in common…long-term Democrat leadership. In order of highest poverty rate, here they are:
Rank City Last Year a Republican was Elected Mayor
1. Detroit 1961 2. Buffalo 1954 3. Cincinnati 1984 4. Cleveland 1989 5. Miami Never elected a Republican mayor 6. St Louis 1949 7. El Paso 1949 8. Milwaukee Never elected a Republican mayor 9. Philadelphia 1952 10. Newark, NJ 1907
We know that the definition of insanity is doing the exact same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. There is nothing to be done for those who stand in line for “free money.” Those who have no idea where this money comes from and call it “Obama Stash” are hopeless. Those who are among the 2 million civilian Federal Government employees, the roughly 5.4 million state employees (earning around $20 billion a month) everyone on or about to go on Medicaid or Social Security , union members and all others who blindly vote for anyone with a D, you had better wake up and recognize that you are killing your host. We are running out of resources for you to redistribute.
The answer for turning all this around isn’t to just stop voting Democrat, although that would be a good start. The answer is to elect only those who will support and defend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
The 111th Congress had precious few who lived up to their oath of office. They did severe damage to the economic well being of the United States. Any country that is living on money borrowed from other countries, enemy or ally, is in danger of losing its sovereignty. This is a deadly serious matter. Look at Greece. Look at Egypt and Ireland.
We must stop voting for a party just because we and our parents and grandparents have always done so. Do not accept the carefully crafted and media supported illusion that Democrats care about the disadvantaged while Republicans care only about the wealthy. The truth is that most politicians care only about getting elected and staying in office. Personal power is their god, regardless of their party affiliation.
The 112th Congress, thanks to an awakening of millions of people, is vastly different than the 111th. It isn’t just Bachmann, McClintock, Chaffetz, Mack, Pence, Ryan and perhaps a dozen others who are fighting for the people. They have been joined by numerous men and women who will not compromise the Constitution and Bill of Rights for personal gain. Unfortunately, the leadership in the House is questionable and the Senate is still controlled by the left.
There is much to be done if we are to save our Republic and prevent Detroit from becoming the norm. The 112th Congress can and will put the downward spiral on hold. The elections of 2012 will determine if the U. S. will once again be the beacon of hope for the world or just another pauper nation in decline.
I have had an incredible year. So it is difficult to narrow down the Top 10 things that I am most grateful for that occurred during 2010. After significant deliberation, here goes:
10. The excuse, “Its Bush’s fault” was used 11.4% less than in 2009
9. Big Sis finally agrees to secure the border
8. President Obama pledges to focuses like a laser on the economy, again and again and again.
7. Strike # 9. It turns out she was talking about the Afghanistan border.
6. President approving acceptable methods of interrogating captured terrorists which include rapid fire questions and/or looking directly into their eyes while remaining silent.
5. Erick Holder’s barbaric punishment of the New Black Panthers and heartfelt support for the legal citizens of Arizona.
4. The gratitude I know Michelle, Barry and the girls feel toward me as I help pay for their lavish vacations all over the world.
3. Free groping at all major U. S. airports by “friendly” TSA Agents.
2. Basketball and the sharp elbows of Rey Decerega.
1. Nancy Pelosi is no longer 2nd in line to the Presidency.
This blog is out of the ordinary for me but it fits the season.

More than 2 weeks before the Nov. 2nd election I predicted a Republican pick-up of 55 to 60 House seats and 9 to 10 Senate seats. The final totals were 63 and 6. If it were not for the Republican machine fighting against us, we would have picked up 8 in the Senate (Alaska and Nevada). Considering I was more accurate than people like Dick Morris who are paid lots of money to go on TV, write blogs and books about politics, I’ll take it.
I posted a Blog November 4th called Party Leadership. Many who follow my blogs questioned why I was so negative toward John Boehner. If you have been paying attention since then, I trust you now understand. The so called leadership of the Republican Party broke their promise on not raising taxes and stopping earmarks faster than hummingbirds wings can flap. Then Boehner anoints the China lightbulb pusher Fred Upton as Chairman Energy & Commerce and pork-barrel king Hal Rogers as House Appropriations Chairman. Both of these appointments were in direct opposition to the wishes of the Tea Party movement. This was a backhanded slap to the face followed by a kick to the groin.
If all of our work during 2010 is to mean anything of significance, we must stop Boehner and his cohorts. We can do this. You see, Boehner need not be Speaker of the House. This cannot officially be voted on until the class of 2011 is sworn-in.
I am pleading with Tom McClintock (CA), Michele Bachman (MN), Jason Chaffetz (Ut), Jeff Flake (AZ), Jeff Miller (FL) and the other veteran like-minded congressman, to join the freshmen and block Boehner and his cronies. You can do this. You can stop the business as usual mentality. Do NOT let them maintain leadership or very little will change, regardless of the People’s landslide election of last month.
Candidly, we who work for a living and pay for everything, are running out of options. I am pleading with you to fight the good fight for us. Do not let these DC blue-bloods continue to bankrupt our Country.
On ResistNet last week, I responded to a fellow patriot who opposed targeting specific corporations who support the leftist progressive movement in our country. That response follows:
My friend and ally, this is the first time we have disagreed. As a general rule, I have always opposed boycotts. Although, I did appreciate the “boycott of those who boycott Arizona.” That had a certain symmetry; instant Karma.
Here is why I strongly support this movement:
I agree that companies have the right to express their opinions. When those opinions are threatening the financial well being of the United States, and therefore our ability to defend our freedom, we not only have the right but the responsibility to oppose those companies.
MSNBC (Owned by GE) openly promoted Barrack Obama for President during the 2008 campaign. Jeffery Immelt (Chairman of GE) was appointed to the White House Economic Recovery Advisory Board the month after Obama took office. It is no coincidence that GE aggressively promotes the Cap & Trade Bill. GE stands to make several billion dollars if it becomes law. A few weeks ago in Ohio, GE closed the last incandescent light bulb manufacturing plant in the United States. This is an industry created by an American, Thomas Edison. Now we will buy our CFL’s from China. It is all a money game with these large companies. The workers have little, if any, say in company policies. I don’t believe for a second that a majority of GE workers approved of GE continuing to sell to Iran long after an embargo was imposed and our soldiers were being killed in Iraq. My mother worked for GE in Shelbyville, IN for 30 years as a spot welder. Today, she actually cries if the name GE even comes up in a conversation.
In my blog post yesterday (www.infamosamos.blogpost.com), I mention Listerine. If we all stop buying Listerine, perhaps the employees will demand their company stop working against the will of the people. Regardless, we are not going to stop buying mouthwash. If Listerine sales sharply decline, their competitors’ sales must sharply rise. These workers can leave Johnson & Johnson and go to the competitor to fill their increased needs. Or, we can all just give up and in a few years Listerine will be like the American made light bulb.
The Obama administration, Soros and their comrades are doing all they can, as rapidly as they can, to destroy our way of life. We can’t just sit back and write blog posts, go to rallies and email our Congressmen. We need to take direct action.
I don’t see this as a typical boycott where people stand out in front of businesses for a couple weeks with signs of protest. I am not asking that these businesses be shut down or that the leftists in this country stop buying products from GE, Johnson & Johnson, Google, etc. I am pleading with all conservatives to discontinue funding the progressive/liberal movement in this country. We cannot defeat this well orchestrated assault on our liberties if we continue to finance the enemy. The targeted firms have chosen the side they believe will give them the largest return on their investments. That is all they care about. We must show them that they should reevaluate that decision.
It is my understanding that the National Center for Public Research and Freedomworks are teaming up to make We the People (WtP) aware of large companies that lobby for legislation that threatens to harm consumers. This would be legislation that most all conservatives detest, such as Obama Care and Cap & Trade. They have announced that General Electric and Johnson & Johnson head the list; but, I am sure Progressive Insurance and Google will be among the top tier of firms.
With the overwhelming success of the November 2 elections, it is clear that the silent majority is no longer oblivious to the very real threats aimed at our society by progressives in congress and the Obama administration. First there was ignorance, then denial, which progressed to recognition, followed by anger. The Tax Day Protests, 9-12 Marches on DC and Glenn Beck’s 8-28 Project were massive displays by WtP that changes were going to be made or else. We were ignored by most of our elected officials; so we chose the path of or else.
We made ourselves heard on November 2, 2010. Now we must monitor those we helped put into office. Make sure they know we are going to hold them accountable. Just as importantly, they need to know that we have their backs when they need our assistance in combating the dual cancers of corruption and arrogance so prevalent inside the beltway. However, that isn’t enough. WtP need to take direct action. We must stop financing the enemy.
This will sometimes be inconvenient. Take a look at my email address. I commit to dropping gmail (Goggle) by year’s end. Those of you with Progressive Insurance need to stop funneling money through them to the Obama Administration. Look up what products Johnson & Johnson sells. I am sure you have some of them in your house. After January 1, 2011, stop supporting these people. Now let’s not get crazy here. If your doctor wants to use Johnson & Johnson’s Cell Search to identify circular tumors, go for it. But come on. We can all find a substitute for Listerine.
I am going to name what I consider the dirty baker’s dozen progressives/Obama supporters in Hollywood. They are beyond condescending to us; they openly insult conservatives. Actors who are no longer relevant, such as Ed Asner, Martin Sheen, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon and Barbra Streisand, are not on the list. Rob Reiner has been instrumental in the bankruptcy of California and as such transcends this list proceeding directly to the Progressive Hall of Fame. Janeana Garofalo and Michael Moore are not on the list. Anybody still financially supporting these two individuals after all they have publically said and done to denounce America and conservatism, would not be reading anything I write.
1. Leonardo DiCaprio 2. Sean Penn 3. Steven Spielberg 4. Matt Damon 5. Tom Hanks 6. Julia Roberts 7. George Clooney 8. Olivia Wilde 9. Woody Harrelson 10. Alec Baldwin 11. Ben Affleck 12. Oliver Stone 13. Ben Stiller
These people are ruling class elitist who equate the American public to sheep. They consider us incapable of rational thought. Most of these people are Socialist or Communist. Some are just ignorant.
Olivia Wilde has a new movie coming out called Tron-Legacy. Sci-Fi lovers are going to want to see it. Keep in mind, she did a get-out-the-vote add funded by George Soros which was incredibly demeaning towards Sarah Palin and conservatism. She is an outspoken advocate for the progressive movement, as are all the people on my list. The Jason Bourne movies are among my favorites; but I will not spend one more dollar enriching Matt Damon enabling him and his buddy Affleck to throw another $1,000 a plate fund raiser for Obama.
The Prime Minister of Russia and former KGB officer, Vladimir Putin, was laying praise last week on actor Leonardo DiCapro, calling him, “A Real Man.” Of course, DiCaprio’s dire version of the earth’s future in the documentary The 11th Hour, plays right into the global warming hoax. This harms the American economy which would naturally benefit Russia. DiCaprio created, produced and narrated this propaganda piece and admits the purpose is to indoctrinate children. In his words, his goal was to “recruit young eco-activists to the cause. We need to get kids young.”
According to a 2009 article by Daryl Deino, Julia Roberts once threatened to fire anyone on her staff that said anything negative about Barrack Obama. Unlike Julia, I would defend the right of anyone, including the people on my list, to express and advocate for their beliefs. However, we have every right to express our opposition by not funding them. In fact, it is beyond our right. It is our obligation to stop financing the progressive movement by spending untold millions of dollars on Hollywood’s Hate American First bunch.
I did not address the issue of Barrack Obama being eligible for the Presidency in any of my previous blog posts or my book American Revolution 2010. The reason being is I thought that if Obama was not a legitimate candidate for the office of President, the Clinton Machine would have been all over it. They had resources beyond anything I could even imagine. Yet, they did not address the issue. To me that could only mean that it was not a problem for Mr. Obama. As for why Obama would not show proof of his place of birth when pressed to do so by critics, that fit perfectly with his game plan of deliberately agitating We the People. It was just another of many diversions while he worked to force through Obama Care. Now I believe I was mistaken.
Definitions change over time. I don't mean like Clinton's famous "it depends on what the definition of is is." Rather, something like how the meaning of being gay in 1890 changed to what it meant to be gay in 1990. We need to know the definition of “natural born Citizen” when the Constitution was written. It is not relevant what Barrack Obama or Glen Amos uses as a definition today. We can't trust Goggle, Wikipedia or Snopes when it comes to political/progressive issues (check out their political donations and connections). Consider the following:
Emmerich de Vattel’s The Law of Nations, published in 1759 was THE primary reference book used by our Founders of the U. S. Constitution. According to constitutional scholars over the past 200 plus years, it is not possible to overstate the influence of de Vattel’s The Law of Nations as the primary reference book in the drafting of our Constitution. In it, de Vattel wrote, “The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.” Please make special note of the “s” on parents. http://www.lonang.com/exlibris/vattel/vatt-119.htm
In Article 2, Section 1 of our Constitution, it reads, “No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President.”
Barrack Obama’s father was NOT a U. S. Citizen. He was a Citizen of the U. K. and/or Kenya. Therefore, Barrack Obama cannot possibly be a natural born Citizen of the United States and is not legally qualified to serve as President of the United States.
Congressman McClintock, you displayed the integrity and fortitude to reprove the President of Mexico when he demeaned the Citizens of Arizona while speaking in our House. If you have proof that my logic is invalid, please explain precisely how this is so, as I seek only the truth. If not, I am asking you to do the difficult thing and fulfill your oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States by calling upon the Secret Service to remove Mr. Obama from the office of President as rapidly as possible.
Over the past 3 weeks, I have flown from Seoul, to Bangkok, to Kuala Lumpur, to Singapore, to Adelaide, to Sydney, to Honolulu, to Sacramento. I never went through a body scanner nor was I patted down. Not once. I did not even have to take off my shoes. I am over 60, white and a native Hoosier. I am not a frequent flier and had never before flown on Korean Airlines, Lufthansa, or Singapore Airlines.
What is going on here in the U. S. is just another way the Obama regime is deliberately agitating We the People. They want us frustrated and our attention diverted. It serves their purposes. As always the media is an enabler. If it isn't this issue they are talking about it is Dancing With the Stars. Anything to keep us stirred up and prevents Dorothy and us from seeing the man behind the curtain (Soros).
In Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore, I seldom turned on the TV. When I did try to catch up on a little news, the choices were BBC or CNN. More appropriate letters would be CRAP.
It is no wonder many in the world have such a low opinion of Americans. If all a person knew about us was what was aired on these channels, they would certainly have negative opinions of us. One BBC reporter about went apoplectic over the election results of November 2nd. He was screaming, “Who do these people (Tea Party movement) think they are trying to subvert the policies of President Obama!”
When Obama goes on TV in the US and says the election results were the fault of the people failing to understand the accomplishments of his administration (“Making an argument that people can understand”), we know he is delusional, lying or both. Many outside the United States don’t get to hear the truth. It would be like us having to rely on MSNBC. They hear the President of the United States basically calling us stupid. In Asia, the BBC and CNN give news biased a whole new dimension.
Let me ask you a question. Who are the most feral sports fans? Perhaps the home town crowd at a Philadelphia Phillies game or maybe the Oakland Raiders fans? No, these fanatics would not even get an honorable mention compared to the fans of many sports overseas. In today’s paper, I read about a rugby match where the highly touted Kiwis team was defeated by the Kangaroos 34-20. The Kiwis fans disgraced themselves right from the start by booing at the playing of the Australian national anthem. This was a mere warm up to an ugly display of poor sportsmanship. In addition to the 5 fights that broke out in the stands, the crowd of 44,000 “rained bottles onto the field.” Many of these were full beer bottles and some hit the players. No decent Raider or Phillies fan would throw a beer bottle without having drained it first.
In reality, the American people are the most generous people on earth. We have the greatest military force the world has ever known. Yet, we do not wish to conquer other nations. We tend to be kind, respectful and good natured. The rest of the world seldom gets a glimpse of these traits. The news media will continue to propagate the illusion of the ugly American. President Obama will continue to consider us “enemies”. He will tour the world apologizing for us. He will do so with our money, traveling in a style befitting 19th century royalty. He will do this while 9.6% of our citizens are out of work.
I am damn proud to be an American and look forward to the day we have a President who feels the same.
The former silent majority did not work our behinds off for the past 20 months just to see Progressive Democrats replaced by establishment, elitist RINOs. We spent our resources (money, time and energy) to get politicians elected who would be fiscally responsible and believe in the Constitution and small government. We DO NOT want the same good old boys running our House.
We elected people who support the Tea Party movement. The RNC establishment fought us almost as much as the Democrats fought us. Specifically, the RNC fought our choices in Alaska, Nevada, Utah, Kentucky and Connecticut along with many others. If the RNC had their way, flip-flop Charlie Crist would be the new Senator from Florida instead of a man of principal, Marco Rubio. Had the Republican leadership truly gotten behind our Tea Party supported candidates, the tsunami on November 2 would have been even larger.
Please, everyone who worked so hard to help save our Republic, do not leave it to these elitist to hand pick themselves as the leadership of the next Congress. We won! Don’t let these guys surrender our cause. A few weeks ago, John Boehner jumped at the first opportunity to claim they could work with President Obama to improve the Health Care Bill if the Republican Party took control of the House. This remark came under immediate and intense criticism by We the People. So, Boehner walked it back. That change of rhetoric does NOT indicate a change of heart. He is a “say whatever” to placate the masses and then do what is best for his own power. Don’t allow these elitist to anoint Boehner. Tell your elected officials who you want to lead the Party you put in the majority.
For what it is worth, here are my choices:
Speaker of the House: Michele Bachmann House Majority Leader: Paul Ryan Majority Whip: Jeff Miller House Rep. Conference: Chairman=Eric Cantor, Vice-Chair=Tom McClintock, Sect.=Jason Chaffetz
Republican Policy Committee Chair: Allen West
Don’t let our victory be watered down. Let’s work to put in place leaders who will represent us and withstand the immense pressures to “compromise” the beliefs they espoused that got them elected.
I spent the day in the company of a 40 year old Muslim woman. She has her own successful tour coordinator business. She is an intelligent business person and speaks at least 3 languages. She was my guide and took me to such places as the Batu Caves, a Hindu holy temple, the King?s palace and a Buddhist temple. She even gave a rubber tree tapping demonstration (kind of like molasses extraction). We ended our day with a visit to the largest Muslim mosque in Malaysia. As I am not a travel writer, it would be fair to ask, 'So what'? My point is to convey that I do not have negativity toward Muslims.
This morning before she arrived to pick me up, I was enjoying a leisurely breakfast in the large hotel restaurant. Looking around the room, I saw people that were probably Korean, Japanese, Australian, Thai, Malaysian and a host of other nationalities. I knew there were numerous religions represented in this common space. Having lived for over 20 years in the San Francisco Bay area, I am very comfortable in such a setting. There were business types in suites, tourist in shorts and sandals, men in flowing robes. One young woman was wearing very short shorts and a tank top, not that I noticed.
I was cognizant and appreciative of the sense of trust shared by such a diverse group. We could ignore one another because we had no negative concerns with each other.
At this point a young couple came in and was seated not far from my table. They had a cute little boy barely old enough to sit up in a high chair. The young father was fit and handsome. The mother was wearing a black Burka. Nothing was visible except a partial glimpse of her eyes through the Burka?s slit. In that instant, my emotion went from harmonious to white hot. One word instantaneously overpowered my every thought. That word was ENEMY. This man, not the woman, was my ENEMY. If you do not understand this, I beg you to spend as little as one hour reading about Sharia law.
My tour guide, under Sharia law, could be stoned to death by her husband, father and brothers for being seen in my company. Under Sharia law, a woman who is raped has dishonored her father, brothers or husband and may be put to death. This week, Osama Bin Laden threatened France because of its ban on Burkas.
This intense negativity was fleeting, lasting for less than 5 seconds. However, I thought to myself, thank goodness I do not work for NPR.
I am half way around the world in Bangkok and who do I see yesterday while having breakfast? Tax cheat, little Timmy Geithner. He is in Asia doing dirty work for world governance at the G20 Conference. Okay, for those of you who insist on absolute accuracy in every detail, I did not meet Timmy face-to-face. His picture took up 1/3rd of one page of my morning newspaper. Still it was enough of an encounter to ruin 4 minutes of my vacation.
Thank goodness the next page had a feature on an elderly Zen monk. He is quoted saying that as a 16 year old novice he was required to learn 60 verses by heart, all 4-lines. The first verse follows:
Waking up this morning, I smile. I know that there are 24 brand new hours for me to live. I vow to live every moment of the day deeply. And try to look at everyone with eyes of compassion.
Well, this certainly sounds like a harmonious way of going through life. I thought about it some more and then turned back to the page featuring Mr. Geithner. I still saw a dishonest, conniving, elitist weasel. I guess it takes a few years of practice before the compassion kicks in. I'll work on it.
In the United States, there are many locations that are sacred ground. If you ever go inside the long-barracks at the Alamo, you can sense the killing lust of the men making their last stand and the Mexican soldiers storming into the building. The carnage and stench of death must have been all encompassing, drowning out Santa Anna’s buglers playing of “No Quarter.” There is a surreal feeling to the long-barracks that cannot be conveyed by the printed word. It is not quite the same as when walking the grounds of Arlington or the Punchbowl.
When looking at the grave markers of generals lying beside privates at Arlington Cemetery or that of our fallen heroes buried at the Punchbowl Cemetery, I felt sadness but also pride. At the long-barracks, there was something more and it made my skin tingle. I could pick up on the intense fear of many men fighting to the death in hand to hand combat, 110 years before I was born. I saw no apparitions as many others have claimed; but I felt the energy and it was icy cold. I did not want to remain in this small building nor did I not want to leave it. The bodies of the defenders of the Alamo were dismembered, buried in mass graves, dropped in the river or burned.
I suspect the intent of the neat rows of white crosses and manicured lawns of our national cemeteries is to provide a feeling of closure and nobility, of coming home to spend eternity with your patriots in arms. The settings are so serene that we don’t connect with the horror that gave them their entry passes. Perhaps that is a good thing. Regardless, the Alamo and our national cemeteries are sacred ground.
At Gettysburg, on July 1-3 in 1863 we suffered approximately 50,000 American causalities. That is nearly as many in 3 days as during the entire Vietnam War! “Causalities” is a cruel word as there is nothing causal about what happened at Gettysburg. There was no morphine and surgeons were more like butchers. To be wounded and placed on the surgeon’s table would have been horrific.
You can make a list of our sacred grounds if you wish. It would be a good thing to teach your children or grandchildren. I suspect Pearl Harbor, Ground Zero and Shanksville, Pennsylvania (wreckage of Flight 93) would make your list. Perhaps Ford’s theater in DC, Dealey Plaza in Dallas and the Lorraine Motel in Memphis would be included? A good argument could be made for these and many other locations. My list would have to include the voting booths all across this land.
The United States has been a beacon of hope for the entire world. That light is beginning to fade as Progressives in DC work feverishly to transfer the wealth of our nation to others. The Progressives and RINOs in the House and Senate are allowing the Congress to be made irrelevant by the Obama Administration. The Supreme Court is being stacked with those who do not believe in our Constitution. Our Justice Department is controlled by racists and our politicians cower to Muslims who are intent on bringing Shari law to the United States.
We can all visualize that picture of the woman in Iraq smiling and proudly holding up her ink stained finger. She was fully aware that there were many in the streets that might torture or kill her for voting. Still, she did so and encouraged others to vote through her bravery.
Our Republic is at a crossroads. We must throw out as many global governance politicians as possible. If we do not take control of Congress away from Progressives and RINO elitist this November 2nd, our nation will succumb to tyranny; and President Obama will succeed in his quest to fundamentally transform America into a debtor nation.
Dip your finger in purple ink before going to the polling place. Vote and then proudly hold up that stained digit to the New Black Panthers and Eric Holder on the way out.
For the past 19 months, I have devoted every spare moment, and a significant portion of my children’s meager inheritance, making people aware of the dangers of the Obama socialist regime and the progressive controlled and corrupt congress. It is then ironic that business will take me out of the country during the election.
I am extremely optimistic that the former silent majority (now known as The Tea Party) will eviscerate Congress on November 2nd. My prediction is that the Republicans will take perhaps 55 to 60 seats in the House and 9 or 10 Senate seats. What makes this meaningful is that we will not be replacing liberal/progressive Democrats with go along/get along RINOS. People like Rubio, Rand, Miller, Backmann and Col. Allen West are not going to go to Washington and be compromised by the likes of McCain, Gingrich or other elitist Republicans. It is time to man-up.
Two events occurred overseas this past week that indicate just how far rational thought has risen. A Dutch Member of Parliament, Geert Wilders, had been charged and put on trial for expressing outrage over the Islamification of the Netherlands. Prosecutors called it hate speech. Just a couple years ago, Wilders would have been imprisoned and/or fined. Instead, he was found Not Guilty and is being treated as a national hero.
Also last week, Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel declared that the country’s experiment to build a multicultural society, “has failed, utterly failed.” She went on to proclaim that with respect to foreign workers, “Anyone who does not immediately speak German is not welcome.”
Wasn’t it just a couple years ago that we were being told we should be more like Europe? Those same people are now silent about Wilder and Merkel. We can see how well socialism, single payer health care, global governance and cowering to Muslim fanatics has worked out in France, Greece and the UK. Only the most naïve and ignorant among us would want to copy those failed policies.
Sanity is spreading across our land and just in time. I will be with all of you in spirit on November 2nd.
Depending upon where you live and your age, the phrase, “the shot heard ‘round the world” has different meanings. To baseball fans over the age of 60, it conjures up images of Bobby Thompson’s walk-off home run to win the 1951 World Series for the New York Giants. In Europe, the phrase generally refers to the assignation of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and the beginning of WW1. In a 2009 album Love Drunk by the band Boys Like Girls, one of the cuts is entitled “The Shot Heard Round the World.” I don’t even want to guess at what that means.
I am of the opinion that We the People should never forget the original which was written by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Describing the opening conflict of the Revolutionary War at the battle at Old North Bridge, he wrote:
"By the rude bridge that arched the flood, Their flag to April's breeze unfurled; Here once the embattled farmers stood, And fired the shot heard 'round the world."
Wendy and I spent our time between the 8-28 Beck Restoring Honor gathering and the 9-12 March in DC visiting our Country’s heritage in Boston, Portsmouth, NH and Concord, MA. Paying my respects at the graves of Sam Adams and John Hancock wasn’t as much fun as say… being on the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland. Standing in silence, seeing the lettering on the stone makers worn to the point they were difficult to decipher, does not bring on an adrenalin rush; but walking through Granary Burying Ground will bring emotions to the surface for any Patriot. It is sacred ground.
We drove from Portsmouth west to Concord, NH and then south to Concord, MA. We stopped in Concord, New Hampshire for lunch. I joked with our waitress, asking her how to get to the bridge where the shot heard round the world took place. Instead of laughing or rolling her eyes at the ignorant California flake, she replied that she didn’t know for sure but that there were a bunch of historical monuments downtown and perhaps it was there. Okay, I was a little embarrassed. I’m thinking maybe she didn’t grow up in New England and was not taught our history. I asked how long she lived in Concord and she replied all her life. Now I’m hooked.
To Wendy’s chagrin, I insisted we walk around Main Street in front of the Court House for a few minutes while I ask the locals for directions. The next two townspeople were very polite and it was obvious they wanted to be helpful. They had both heard of the shot heard round the world but did not know where the old bridge was located. Perhaps it had been destroyed over the years? The fourth person I approached was a 40 something business man. He looked at me with a sly smile and I knew the ruse was up. He said, “Sir, you are in the wrong state. You want Concord, Massachusetts.” He points south and says, “About 75 miles that way.”
We arrived at the Old North Bridge around 5 in the afternoon. It was overcast and just a bit chilly. At first, the setting was almost too serene; it took a while to sense the violence that took place here on April 19, 1775. The re-constructed Old North Bridge spanning the Concord River is far more solid than was the rickety original. There is a statue of a Minuteman on the west side of the bridge; but it is the marker for the grave of two British Redcoats on the east bank that beckons us to understand that this too is sacred ground. Earlier the morning of April 19, in nearby Lexington, the Redcoats fired on and killed 8 and wounded 10 colonists. At the Old North Bridge, Approximately 95 Redcoats on the east side of the Concord River faced 400 Minutemen on the west side just 50 yards apart. Whether out of fear or contempt for their rag tag opposition, the King’s army fired upon the Minutemen, killing two. This time, the Minutemen fired back and the world was forever changed.
Emerson’s “Concord Hymn” written in 1837, was not meant to slight the carnage at Lexington but to acknowledge that it was at the Old North Bridge where the colonist first fired back at the regular army under orders to do so by their commanders. We had finally had enough.
I have had enough Cass Sunstein, Andy Stern, Valerie Jarett, George Soros, Barack Obama, et al. “occupying” our White House and the Congress that enables them. The progressives are close to reaching their goal of turning the United States into a 2nd tier nation and achieving global governance. If you still do not recognize this truth, consider the following. The U. S. is energy dependent. That threatens our economy and security. Obama shuts down our oil drilling in the Gulf by Executive Order. A judge blocks Obama’s Executive Order. Obama ignores the judge (rule of law) and keeps the rigs shut down. Obama loans our money to Mexico and Brazil so they can drill in the Gulf.
Under the Obama administration, the Justice Department will not enforce voter intimidation laws if those breaking the law are black and the people being harmed are white. The Obama administration will not enforce our nation’s immigration laws, supports sanctuary cities and has the Justice Department attack the Sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona and the state of Arizona.
Even King George of England in 1775 did not force us to buy British Tea. Yet, the Obama administration under the guidance of King George Soros forces us to buy insurance! The government has no authority under our Constitution to force us to buy anything. Haven’t you had enough America? I hope so and I pray that you stand beside me and fire back on November 2nd.
I made up my mind at the end of August to let go and let God with respect to my little book. It still nagged at me that I should do more to get it out there to the masses that make up We the People; I just did not know what to do or how to do it. I am not rich or a celebrity. The easy way would be to just accept that I tried. But, I was feeling guilty all the same. There is too much at stake. If we lose our freedom, I would not feel so much as a gram of solace telling my grandson, “At least I tried.”
When I watched Glenn Beck last night, he held up a thick, scholarly book and said that after 5 years of hardly any sales, the book had sold 70,000 copies in the month since he mentioned it on the air. Herein lays the problem. I am 100% certain that those 70,000 people are already totally on board with our grave concerns for our Republic. It is preaching to the choir and will not garner one additional vote for true conservatives who will defend our Constitution. The people who purchased that book are already with us. Many, perhaps most, of those who bought the book won’t actually read it; but for sure, anyone who is not already fully onboard with the dangers we are confronting would not read it… even if someone gave them a copy. Beck admitted it would make your eyes bleed.
This brings me to the heart of the matter.
American Revolution 2010 is a CliffsNotes version of what is wrong with the system and why it threatens the very existence of America. We are in a desperate struggle in a 3-pronged war against the Democrat Party consumed by liberal/progressives, Republican establishment elitist and the news media.
If the Beck and Limbaugh faithful all bought my book and read it, most would probably enjoy it. This would accomplish absolutely nothing but put money in my pocket (also the Wounded Warrior Project who would receive 10% of all profit). That is NOT what I want! It is my most ardent hope that Patriots will buy one or multiple copies and give them away. Not randomly or to progressive ideologues, but to their relatives, friends, neighbors and co-workers, regardless of Party affiliation, who they know love this country but have not taken time away from their busy lives to understand what all the fuss is about. These are the people we need to reach. We have precious little time to do it.
This election will determine if we can stop the hemorrhaging and stabilize our economy long enough to perform major surgery in 2012. If there is someone you know who would be receptive if they only knew the truth, go to Amazon.com and order my book as a gift. If you know someone but you are out of work, contact me at bharrison1776@gmail.com. I have about a hundred copies. I will send them one free and pay the shipping until my supply runs out. I wish I could do more. I am asking for your help.
Throw Them All Out
September 25, 2010.
There
are a few (very few) incumbent politicians fighting the good fight for
us. Among that list would be Congressman Tom McClintock of California,
Congresswoman Michele Bachman of Wisconsin and Senator Jim DeMint of
South Carolina. It is critical that we get this coming election right.
We must study the candidates and support, as best we can, those who are a
positive force for protecting our Constitution and removing those who
are a cancer to our Republic.
The Democrat party, totally
controlled by progressives, has made Bachman their number one target.
The blue-blood, inside the beltway Republican leadership recognizes
DeMint as a threat to their power. McClintock was the man who had the
cajones to stand up and rebuke Mexican President Calderon for his
reprehensible insults toward the state of Arizona on the floor of our
House. These three incumbent politicians, and a few others, present an
obstacle to the progressives’ (Democrat and Republican) goal of
fundamentally transforming America.
If my only choice was to keep
them all or purge them all, I would not hesitate to push down on the
chrome handle and flush them all away. However, We the People have
choices and we must be far more aware of voting records and past
actions. We must not rely on the corrupt news media or campaign ads,
most of which are distortions, illusions or flat out lies.
We
have made a significant difference already in this election cycle by not
accepting many of the elitist, poachers that the Republican
establishment demanded that we, the ignorant masses, support. Let us not
waste our votes (because it would never succeed) and diminish our
efforts with a “throw them all out” approach. Do the research and make
your vote count.
Wendy and I went to the foot of the Lincoln Memorial Friday August 27 around noon. She wanted to see if people were already starting to gather for the Glenn Beck Rally and I wanted to visit the Vietnam Wall (which I did). There were already several hundred people at the west end of the Reflecting Pool.
We picked a good location under the trees on the south side of the pool just east of the steps of the Memorial. We met with lots of wonderful people from all over the country. Many wanted and planned to spend the night. However, there was conflicting information as to whether or not the Park Police would run people out after after dark. Finally, someone with a cell phone called the Park Police and asked for the exact rule. She was told that you could not pitch a tent, use a sleeping bag or go to sleep. Otherwise, you would not be in violation and would not be forced to leave.
Wendy wanted to spend the night but I convinced her that what was a good idea at 3PM would turn into something else around 3 AM. Families from Virginia and New York offered to save our spot. Wendy spread out a large white blanket and on it we placed our one lawn chair.
We returned at 5AM. Thankfully for those who had sent the night, temperatures had remained mild with no moisture. There were thousands of people gathered on both sides of the pool. One of those watching our spot said they could have sold it several times over and laughingly said he wished he had. At this point, a single cup of coffee would have probably garnered $20. The energy level, like the sun, had yet to rise. An example of the courtesy of those who came to restore honor in America is that there was not so much as a single footprint on our blanket. Thousands of strangers respectfully stepped around it.
The event was to start at 10 AM. By then, there were hundreds of thousands of people standing shoulder to shoulder. The thousands still arriving could not get closer than the WWII Memorial, if that close.
We were at the first 9-11 and this came very close to having the same level of energy. Crowd estimates ranged from 300,000 to 500,000. There were marked differences. Foremost was that prior to 9-12-2009, we had no idea if 50,000 people would show up. So, when over a million people gathered, there was an overwhelming sense of relief that our Republic did have a chance after all. We the People were no longer hibernating and would take back control of our government. The 9-12 March was also political and rambunctious. Poignant and/or funny signs were everywhere. The emotions were joy and relief, tinged with anger.
Beck’s event was pure joy and love for all Americans of all races and faiths. There were no angry shouts at politician (so richly deserving of intense criticism), no signs and few costumes. It was an event that may well help change America for the better. If God was our parent, He would look down on all the speakers and all who attended with immense pride. For at least one day, we got it right.
The March on 9-12-10 was down significantly in numbers, maybe as much as 75%. Perhaps the rain kept some away who live within an hour drive or so. Certainly, the Beck gathering, having been held just two weeks earlier, peeled off tens of thousands who could not attend both events. With unemployment so high, many simply could not afford to attend while others hunker down in fear an even worsening economy. Also, there were major Tea Party Events being held in St Louis and Sacramento. In St Louis in 2009, they reported a gathering of about 900. This year was around 10,000 according to one newspaper report.
Still, there was no lack of passion by those who were in DC. Many of the speakers were outstanding. Mike Pence of Indiana sounded like he should be given consideration for higher office in 2012. Andrew Breitbart was the most entertaining as he poked fun at the lame-stream media. The speaker who really got the crowd motivated was Tito Munoz. He declared that as a new citizen, he refused to see the United States deliberately be turned into a 3rd world country like the one he had escaped.
I do not think that the smaller attendance at the DC march is any indication of a slide back into apathy by the American People. The tremendous turnout at the various primaries and the results of those elections support my optimism. I believe that the American people have awakened to the rush for one world order and socialism that our politicians (in both parties) are pursuing. Will there be enough of us? We will find out in about 5 weeks.
It is hard to believe this Sunday marks the anniversary of the first 9-12 March on Washington. It led to the blog post below which is within my first book, American Revolution 2010 – A Tea Party Patriot’s Call to Arms. I have told people that this is the one passage in AR 2010 that I did not write with my mind; it is strictly from the heart. The ending flowed through me as if I was just the conduit. Please read this blog; please come join us Sunday. If circumstances prevent you from being here in person, be with us in spirit.
9-12 March on DC
The news media wants to downplay the 9-12 March on Washington by saying there were 10's of thousands of protesters. That is outlandish. Home Land Security and a group at U. of Illinois trained in crowd estimates based on overhead photography independently came up with 1.2 million. Some groups with bias on the other side gave estimates of 1.7 to 2.0 million. I have been to 6 World Series games and know full well what a crowd of 10's of thousands looks like. The 9-12 March was NOT 10's of thousands. Oh, don't be fooled by pictures taken from the Capitol looking west to the Washington Monument. We were not allowed on the grass of the Mall. They claimed it was reserved, but no one used it. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind why we were not allowed on the Mall (grassy area between the Capitol and the Washington Monument). It is so when people look at photos of the scene, which is what is normally used for giant crowds (Martin Luther King speech, inaugurations, etc.), they will see no protesters there. It gives the illusion that the crowd, while somewhat significant (10's of thousands), was not one of the largest in DC history. In fact, some news media showed side by side photos to get this point across. Had we been allowed on the Mall, we most certainly would have filled it all the way to the Washington Monument (about a mile). Instead, we filled the streets on both sides running parallel to the Mall (one a 4-lane and the other a 6-lane) all the way to the Washington Monument. Also, what you don't see in those photos are the hundred thousand or so people on the north and south sides of the Capitol steps.
The March was scheduled to begin at 11AM so we planned to arrive at 10:30. We were two blocks north of Pennsylvania Ave. and had to walk west to get to the street where we would turn south direct to Freedom Plaza. At the first intersection, we glanced to our left and saw nothing but people totally filling Pennsylvania Ave intersection marching east toward the Capitol. Our hearts soared. We had both quietly been concerned that "We the people" would not show up in significant numbers. We began walking as fast as we could to Freedom Plaza.
When we got there, it was like a great sorrow had been lifted. The joy and pride I can't really describe. Think of how sad you were on 9-11 2001. This was the polar opposite. Looking east, there was an ocean of people already marching, block after block after block of them. The Plaza was overflowing and from every direction as people were rushing to join the March. It was like a dam breaking in multiple spots with people flooding in to be a part of history.
We did not leave until it concluded at 4 PM. There was not one arrest. No burning police cars, no broken storefront windows, and American flags were held high, not burned. There were chants of "USA , USA" and "Can you hear us now." Hundreds of thousands of people singing God Bless America as we approached the Capitol. In all that time, I never heard a single person ask about religion, or political party affiliation. Race and gender did not matter. In fact, what everyone asked of each other was, "Where are you from." We were all so very thankful that the other person came to make a difference. Some came even though it was a serious burden financially. People came from all 50 states, some were in wheelchairs others pushed strollers.
On this day, all 1.2 million people came together to stand up for our Republic. It was a time to do our small part for the men, some barefoot, who braved the winter at Valley Forge, for those, both blue and gray, who gave the ultimate at places like Shiloh, Gettysburg and Bull Run, for the men and boys who leaped off the Higgins Boats at Omaha Beach and sank to the bottom never to rise and those who did make it to the beach only to be torn apart by pieces of metal, for the Frozen Chosen in Korea, the Vietnam Veterans who suffered 13-month long nightmares only to come home and be spit on, for the men and women who gave their lives to free the people of Kuwait and Iraq and for those now in Afghanistan. It was such a small thing we were called on to do last Saturday.
To those who did not make the 9-12 March, if this sounds melodramatic, well you just had to be there. I hope that next time you will be.
In my book, American Revolution 2010, there is a chapter on Hollywood titled Curtain Call. This comes to mind because of recent John Cusack remarks.
Cusack commented that Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor rally was “Unifying whites – class war of blame and fear.” I was one of the 500,000 souls who attended the 8-28 event. I spent 8 hours there. All races and ages were present. It was all about acceptance of others and belief in God. Cusack, like his liberal/progressive friends, speaks out of ignorance and bias.
On August 29, Cusack’s Twitter feed reportedly read, “I am for a satanic death cult center at Fox News H.Q…” He once called a patriotic Tweeter a “flag sucking halfwit.” When I think of all the men and boys who were killed or maimed trying to protect our flag, Cusack’s remark makes my blood boil.
In Curtain Call, I proclaim that I will never spend another dollar supporting the lavish lifestyles of the Hollywood elitists who in return disparage conservatives and America. Cusack now joins the likes of Tom Hanks, Sean Penn, Danny Glover and Julia Roberts in the long list of Hollywood’s Hugo Chavez loving, Hate America First club. They have every right to their socialist beliefs. I have every right to avoid their play acting. In fact, it is more than my right; it is my obligation.
We are in Boston today, taking some personal time between the 8-28 Beck gathering and the 9-12 March in DC. We did not dare stay in Washington as obviously something in the DC water drives people crazy if consumed for any length of time.
We went on a trolley tour of the town today. The history that surrounds this place is overwhelming to a patriot. From “Bunker Hill”, the site of the Boston Massacre or Paul Revere’s house, there is so much history to absorb and appreciate. The Granary Burying Ground is a block from our hotel and contains the remains of great Patriots including Sam Adams, John Hancock and Paul Revere. The 5 victims of the Boston Massacre are interred next to Adams. This includes the first black man to die in the Revolutionary War, Crispus Attucks.
Yet, along with feelings of patriotism and appreciation for the sacrifice of our forefathers, I was saddened by what Boston has become. The majority supports cradle to grave entitlements. They have turned socialist. The streets are dirty and the panhandlers aggressive. It reminds me of San Francisco. That is not a compliment.
There is a Puritan meeting house built in 1729 called the “Old South Meeting House.” This is where our beloved Tea Party began. On December 16, 1773 a meeting was called here to protest the tax that was to be charged on 30 tons of tea that was in the holds of the British ships moored at nearby Griffin’s Wharf. It is said that a few thousand people showed up and a heated debate ensued as to what to do if the ships did not sail back to England with the tea on board. CBS reported that there were only 50 people in attendance (okay, I made up that last part). When it was made clear that the ships would not depart with their cargo intact, Samuel Adams addressed the crowd and said, “Gentlemen, this meeting can do nothing more to save our country.” It is rumored this phrase was a code for the 60 to 100 members of the Sons of Liberty to disguise themselves as Mohawk Indians and advance to the wharf and destroy the 342 crates of tea.
We had 500,000 people attend the Glen Beck gathering Saturday. It was peaceful and respectful. We left the grounds a LOT cleaner than the streets of Boston or San Francisco are on a normal day. I believe that we will have at least 1.2 million people show up again this 9-12 to March on DC. In November, we will vote the liberal/progressives and many RINOs out of office.
If they refuse to leave office, or steal elections with the aid of ACORN types (such as Al Franken in Minnesota) or if the Administration continues to attack states such as they have Arizona, there may be blogs that just say, “Ladies and gentlemen, words can do nothing more to save our country.”
Few in Boston would answer Adams’ call today. Most won’t respond should the above modified cryptic call to arms be made. However, there are Oath Keepers, Texans and several million others all over this land who will not live on their knees. Progressives are warned. A tsunami is coming.
Rosslyn Smith wrote an article in American Thinker that should make the blood boil in every taxpaying American. That exempts the 40% or so living off the rest of us. Please go to the following link and check out the story of Sherrod and corruption that the mainstream media does not want you to know about.
I believe the corruption in DC is too pervasive to be salvaged. There is just something about being inside the beltway that turns brains into mush and spines into Jello. Even so called conservatives such as Bill Crystal are not immune. Today on Fox News Sunday, Crystal portrayed Charlie Rangel as a really nice guy and that the (13) charges against him were all minor. Crystal felt that a reprimand would be appropriate punishment. Reprimand! Those of us not in the Ruling Class would have been put in jail long ago for doing 1/4 the things Rangel has done. Instead, the Ruling Class installs a tax cheat, Timothy Geithner, as Treasury Secretary. They now hold us in such contempt as to flaunt it in our faces.
Angelo Codeville wrote in American Spectator, “When the majority (us) discovered that virtually no one in a position of power in either party or with a national voice would take their objections (to the TARP bailout) seriously, that discussions about their money were being made in bipartisan backroom deals with interested parties and that the laws on these matters were being voted by people who had not read them, the term ‘political class’ came into use.”
Thomas Jefferson said that we have the best form of government but it needs to be overthrown each generation with the same form of government. Each generation is too often (unless we are talking about term-limits) but we are long overdue for a transfusion. The ruling class must be purged…now!
