They have been infiltrating America at every level from Town, to County, to State, and to the Federal Level for over 100 years and their success has culminated in the Election of the Islamic Chairman Obama and the Marxist (Progressive) Controlled Congress. In early 1924 the Socialist, Communists and the Marxist ACLU held a series of meetings after their failure to create a Marxist Revolution in America. At these Meetings they adopted the codeword "Progressives" and started the "Progressive Party" as cover for their activities of infiltration a very shrewd and successful move .There are approximately 90 Progressives in the House alone and the Speaker, Commissarina Pelosi is a Card Carrying Member of the Socialists of America. How many are in the Senate, I don't know yet, but for sure Kerry, Kennedy, Dodd, Reid, Nelson, Boxer, Feinstein Lugar, Lantos, Franks, etc, etc are Progressives to name a few.
The Second Enemy is Islam. There may be Islamists that are not committed to the destruction of Our Constitutional America but they all do support the destruction of all Apostate Nations and Peoples and the establishment of a new Caliphate. If they go to Mosque and donate money they are paying thru the Mosque for the terrorists led primarily by the Muslim Brotherhood and the Saudi's. If they migrated with in the last 30 years, or so, they are a part of a Saudi sponsored Islamic Horde that has invaded and infiltrated America. Like the Islamic Hordes that invaded Europe, England, etc, it is their intent to establish a new Caliphate.
Islam and the Islamic Chairman Obama, the Obamanation Administration, and the Marxist (Progressive) Controlled Congress are allies in the Destruction of Our Constitutional America. Thru the simple use of "goggle" will reveal the close relationship of the Islamic CAIR and the Marxist ACLU and cooperation on many issues will prove beyond a doubt that they are allies.
It is my goal and I have committed all I have and all I am to the removal of both Marxists and Islamist from the Government of the United States to include Cities, Counties, States and from the Federal Level even if we must have a "Civil War" to do so.

Russian Military Analysts are reporting to Prime Minister Putin that US President Barack Obama has issued orders to his Northern Command?s (USNORTHCOM) top leader, US Air Force General Gene Renuart, to ?begin immediately? increasing his military forces to 1 million troops by January 30, 2010, in what these reports warn is an expected outbreak of civil war within the United States before the end of winter. According to these reports, Obama has had over these past weeks ?numerous? meetings with his war council about how best to manage the expected implosion of his Nations banking system while at the same time attempting to keep the United States military hegemony over the World in what Russian Military Analysts state is a ?last ditch gambit? whose success is ?far from certain? And to Obama?s ?last ditch gambit?, these reports continue, he is to announce in a nationwide address to his people this coming week that he is going to expand the level of US Military Forces in Afghanistan by tens of thousands of troops, while at the same time using the deployment of these soldiers as a ?cover? for returning to the United States over 200,000 additional American soldiers from the over 800 bases in over 39 countries they have stationed around the Globe bringing the level of these forces in America to over 1 million, a number the US Military believes will be able to contain the ?explosion of violence? expected to roil these peoples when they learn their economy has been bankrupted. These reports further state that at the same time Obama will be attempting to keep his Nation from violent disintegration, the tens of thousands of additional troops he will send to Afghanistan are to be ordered to Kandahar where the Americans and their NATO allies will begin their final attempt to secure their TAPI (Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India) pipeline, which without the Western Nations, due to their grave lack of alternative energy resources, and being cut off from these vast Central Asian supplies (which both Russia and China are seeking to insure), are warned will totally collapse. Making the American?s (and by extension the West?s) situation even worse are new reports coming from the International Energy Agency stating that ?under pressure? from the US government they have been ?deliberately underplaying? a looming Global oil shortage for fear of triggering panic buying and raising the Americans fear over the end of oil supremacy because it would threaten their power over access to our World?s last remaining oil resources. To the scariest ?end game? maneuvers being made by Obama, in his attempt to protect Americas Global hegemony, is his record shattering move in plunging the United States $3.5 Trillion further into debt, and which raises the total amount owed by the United States, to its citizens and the World, to the unprecedented height of over $106 Trillion. So alarming has Obama?s actions become (especially since they are being imitated by all of the Western powers) that the managing-director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Dominique Strauss-Kahn, warned this past week that the ?stimulus actions? of the West (which in essence is nothing more than the printing of money with nothing to back it up) has now become a ?threat to democracy? as millions of people are expected to erupt in violence against their governments over the theft of their money and their futures. Most unfortunately for the American people though is that this IMF warning fell on ?deaf ears? in the United States with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis President, James Bullard, saying this week that the US would continue its ?stimulus actions? because they ?would give more flexibility to US policymakers?, a most absurd statement especially when viewed in the light of the unprecedented debt payments currently looming over the American economy they have no ability whatsoever to pay. To the ability of the West?s banking giants to save their Nation?s economies, even worse news came this week with the US ratings giant Standards & Poors issuing a warning that ?every single bank in Japan, the US, Germany, Spain, and Italy included in S&P?s list of 45 Global lenders remain unsafe?, a warning which then lead to one of Europe?s largest banks, Société Générale, warning its clients to prepare for a ?total Global Economic Collapse?. To the fears of Obama over the United States erupting into civil war once the full extent of the rape and pillaging of these peoples by their banks and government becomes known to them, grim evidence now shows the likelihood of this occurring much sooner than later, especially in new poll figures showing that Obama?s approval rating among white Americans has now fallen to 39%. A number made more significant when one realizes that the white population of the United States comprises 74% of their estimated 398 million citizens, or put more ominously in these reports as ?over 220 million American people armed to the teeth and ready to explode?.

Saving Private Casimer

Last Monday night, I spent an evening at my favorite cigar store with several good friends. We were laughing and carrying on as usual when a man came slowly walking in relying heavily on a cane he held with his left hand. He had a cast on his right wrist and a “World War II Veteran” cap on his head. As he passed in front of me I said “Good evening, young man.” He laughed and told me he was 83. As soon as the veteran said he was looking for two Romeo and Juliets my friend Frank jumped up and opened the door to the humidor to help him find his cigars. A couple of minutes later, the veteran emerged with two cigars, which he plopped down beside the cash register as he reached for his wallet.
As soon as I saw his wallet I tapped him on the shoulder and said “No World War II veteran pays for his cigars in this shop.” I was about to reach for my own wallet when my friend Carl “The Chocolate Chaplain” Byrd shouted “put them on my tab.” The veteran shook my hand and thanked us all before turning and slowly walking towards the door. After taking a few steps our new friend stopped and turned around. I saw a tear rolling down his left cheek just before he spoke with a voice that cracked with emotion. He said “I get awfully choked up when someone thanks me for my service. It means a whole lot to me.” I told him we all loved him for what he did for us. Carl got up and threw his arms around the man and hugged him before he turned around and struggled to work his cane towards the door. After our veteran friend was gone the conversation went in an entirely different direction. We stopped trying to one-up each other. We even stopped exchanging insults, which is a favorite pastime at Brookelynn Cigars. We spent the rest of the evening telling stories about our uncles and grandfathers who served in World Wars I and II. Someone mentioned that the last known veteran of World War I died just last year. We suddenly realized it wouldn’t be long before the veterans of World War II are gone as well. When I woke up Tuesday morning and turned on my computer I noticed I had over 700 emails in my inbox. I had published an internet column at midnight before I went to bed. The column was about a kid named Kevin Casimer at Purdue University. Kevin was offended because a library science professor named Bert Chapman had talked about the economic costs of homosexuality on his personal blog. So Kevin started a petition to have him fired for “offensive” speech. My response to Kevin was pretty simple: I used my column to invite people to put their names on a petition to expel Kevin Casimer for intellectual intolerance. I was only kidding but, apparently, many people thought it was a good idea. I had not previously received more than 600 emails in a day - and that was only when Rush Limbaugh read one of my columns on his radio show. To put things in perspective, the column on Kevin Casimer was the 595th I’ve written since 2003. I had never received over 700 email responses to a column in just one morning Before I could even get to those 700 morning emails I received another 700 that afternoon. And I have received several hundred - with some variation of “Expel Kevin Casimer” in the subject line - every day since I ran the column. By contrast, Kevin Casimer has succeeded in collecting about five dozen signatures. One cannot understand fully the strong reaction to Kevin Casimer’s arrogance without reflecting upon the meaning of the scene in Brookelynn Cigars. People are upset to see the passing of our greatest generation. But they are equally upset to see them replaced by our weakest and most arrogant generation to date. I know that every generation of adults thinks the current generation of teenagers and younger adults is the worst. But someone has to be right. So I am sending a proposal to President France A. Cordova of Purdue University asking her to expel Kevin Casimer. But I’m also asking her to let him back in contingent upon his completion of a simple research project. I will propose that Kevin Casimer collect the signatures of five dozen World War II veterans. The signature lines will be placed at the bottom of a short questionnaire to be administered by none other than Kevin Casimer. The questionnaire will be comprised of two simple questions: 1) Did you storm the beaches of Normandy or fight any other World War II battle in order to preserve the right of future generations to be comfortable at all times? 2) What are your personal feelings about those who feel that the United States Constitution (that you defended by risking your life) can now be nullified by subjective feelings such as personal offense or discomfort? I will also ask Purdue University to let Bert Chapman supervise Kevin Casimer as he carries out this important project. And I will ask Purdue to have the project graded by a panel of young veterans attending Purdue University. They, and only they, will be allowed to readmit Kevin Casimer on the basis of the proper administration and interpretation of this important project. Finally, I will ask that Kevin Casimer only be admitted upon the return of a unanimous verdict. After all, Kevin Casimer is accused of intellectual terrorism. He should be tried before a military rather than a civilian jury.
Considering his obvious Globalism and moves to subordinate America to the United Nations, demonstrated again by his willingness to sign away American Sovereignty under an International Treaty on Global Warming and his related "Tax and Trade" Bill, all seem to indicate that the "Islamic" Chairman Obama will "Kao Tow" to the UN on how we wage war??
While the Senate must approve Treaties, etc there is some question in my mind that the 'p'resident would move to suspend "US Drone Strikes, in agreement of course with Commissarina Hillary, his Quisling Commissar Gates and lets not forget the "v"ice Joker. Considering his dithering on the Troops and Equipment his Generals tell him, are needed to win the War in Afghanistan, this is not too far fetched.
UNITED NATIONS (AFP) – US drone strikes against suspected terrorists in Afghanistan and Pakistan could be breaking international laws against summary executions, the UN's top investigator of such crimes said. "The problem with the United States is that it is making an increased use of drones/Predators (which are) particularly prominently used now in relation to Pakistan and Afghanistan," UN Special Rapporteur on Extrajudicial Executions Philip Alston told a press conference. "My concern is that drones/Predators are being operated in a framework which may well violate international humanitarian law and international human rights law," he said. US strikes with remote-controlled aircraft against Al-Qaeda and Taliban targets in Afghanistan and northwestern Pakistan have often resulted in civilian deaths and drawn bitter criticism from local populations. "The onus is really on the United States government to reveal more about the ways in which it makes sure that arbitrary extrajudicial executions aren't in fact being carried out through the use of these weapons," he added. Alston said he presented a report on the matter to the UN General Assembly. He urged the United States to be more forthright about how and when it uses drone aircraft, something about which the US Defense Department and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) usually keep silent. "We need the United States to be more up front and say, 'OK, we're willing to discuss some aspects of this program,' otherwise you have the really problematic bottom line that the CIA is running a program that is killing significant numbers of people and there is absolutely no accountability in terms of the relevant international laws," Alston said. Since August 2008, around 70 strikes by unmanned aircraft have killed close to 600 people in northwestern Pakistan. "I would like to know the legal basis upon which the United States is operating, in other words... who is running the program, what accountability mechanisms are in place in relation to that," Alston said. "Secondly, what precautions the United States is taking to ensure that these weapons are used strictly for purposes consistent with international humanitarian law. "Third, what sort of review mechanism is there to evaluate when these weapons have been used? Those are the issues I'd like to see addressed," the UN official said.

Scientific progress depends on accurate and complete data. It also relies on replication. The past couple of days have uncovered some shocking revelations about the baloney practices that pass as sound science about climate change. It was announced Thursday afternoon that computer hackers had obtained 160 megabytes of e-mails from the Climate Research Unit (CRU) at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in England. Those e-mails involved communication among many scientific researchers and policy advocates with similar ideological positions all across the world. Those purported authorities were brazenly discussing the destruction and hiding of data that did not support global-warming claims. Professor Phil Jones, the head of the Climate Research Unit, and professor Michael E. Mann at Pennsylvania State University, who has been an important scientist in the climate debate, have come under particular scrutiny. Among his e-mails, Mr. Jones talked to Mr. Mann about the "trick of adding in the real temps to each series ... to hide the decline [in temperature]." Mr. Mann admitted that he was party to this conversation and lamely explained to the New York Times that "scientists often used the word 'trick' to refer to a good way to solve a problem 'and not something secret.' " Though the liberal New York newspaper apparently buys this explanation, we have seen no benign explanation that justifies efforts by researchers to skew data on so-called global-warming "to hide the decline." Given the controversies over the accuracy of Mr. Mann's past research, it is surprising his current explanations are accepted so readily.
Typical of all Marxist Governments, Your Islamic Chairman Obama and his Obamnation Administration have gone behind our backs to revive "UN GUN CONTROL". What this means is that if a Treaty, already in the making, is signed and approved by the US Congress the "UN GUN CONTROL" RULES/LAWS would apply to all Americans. Gun rights supporters are up in arms over a pair of moves the White House made last month to reverse longstanding U.S. policy and begin negotiating a gun control treaty with the United Nations. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton first announced on Oct. 14 that the U.S. had changed its stance and would support negotiations of an Arms Trade Treaty to regulate international gun trafficking, a measure the Bush administration and, notably, former Permanent U.S. Representative to the United Nations John Bolton opposed for years. Two weeks ago, in another reversal of policy, the U.S. joined a nearly unanimous 153-1 U.N. vote to adopt a resolution setting out a timetable on the proposed Arms Trade Treaty, including a U.N. conference to produce a final accord in 2012. "Conventional arms transfers are a crucial national security concern for the United States, and we have always supported effective action to control the international transfer of arms," Clinton said in a statement. "The United States is prepared to work hard for a strong international standard in this area." Gun rights advocates, however, are calling the reversal both a dangerous submission of America's Constitution to international governance and an attempt by the Obama administration to sneak into effect private gun control laws it couldn't pass through Congress.

Labor: While the focus was on card-check legislation that would allow workers to be bullied into union membership, a federal board has quietly changed a rule to let unions organize without a majority of workers. The National Mediation Board, an agency charged with resolving labor disputes in the rail and airline industries, has approved a rule shift that heavily favors unions. Under the change, OK'd by a 2-to-1 vote early this month, a union will be certified if a majority of those voting cast "yes" votes. Under the previous 75-year-old rule, certification required a majority of eligible workers, not just those voting. It's conceivable that a company, or group of workers in a company, could be organized even if much less than a majority is in favor of unionization. Take Delta Air Lines, which is facing union votes among its flight attendants and ground workers after absorbing Northwest Airlines to become the world's largest carrier. It could be forced to deal with a union of 20,500 flight attendants with more than half not wanting to be members. Unlike other major carriers, Delta has remained virtually free of the burden of a unionized work force. Only its pilots are organized, and it seems Delta employees continue to be proud of their independence. Just last year, before the addition of 6,500 Northwest flight attendants, a union attempt failed when fewer than 40% of Delta's 14,000 flight attendants voted to organize. The new rule, now subject to a 60-day comment period, was proposed by a union — the AFL-CIO — and it reeks of politics. The two mediation board members who voted for it were Democratic appointees. One, Linda Puchala, a former flight attendant union leader, was appointed by President Barack Obama. The other, Harry Hoglander, is a former airline pilot and official in a pilots union. Seems these two, taking their cue from the same Democrats intent on forcing health care reform on an unwilling public, rammed through the change. Mediation Board Chairman Elizabeth Dougherty, a former Bush aide who voted to keep the rule in place, told nine senators in a letter: "The proposal was completed without my input or participation, and I was excluded from any discussions regarding the timing of the proposed rule." While her colleagues were fronting for organized labor, Dougherty thoughtfully questioned the board's authority to implement the change. Her argument, one we find compelling, is that the power to alter the rule rests in Congress. If the rule becomes permanent after the 60-day comment period, the potential for workers who don't want union representation to be forced under the control of organized labor increases greatly. The Delta employees, and any others, who have been fighting off unions for years might find themselves subject to a master they didn't ask for.
Our sons and daughters are wounded or dying and forced to retreat and lossing this war in Afghanistan because of the crippling dithering stupidity of the Islamic Chairman Obama and his Obamanation Administration.
General McChrystal, chosen by the 'p'resident, is ordered to assess the situation and make recommendations to Win This War. Today they have leaked to the AP that the new Obamanation Decision will be the "Crippling of General McChrystal's Plan" by cutting not only the original request for 60,000 Troops , but the revised request to 40,000 Troops to only 20,000 Troops.
Write your members of Congress and all Minority and Majority Leaders, tell them to take all necessary action to stop this "Crippling Political Decision" by the Obamanation Administration
Write the Islamic Chairman Obama as well, tell him we don't want General McChrystal's Plan crippled for political purposes, give this General the Troops and EQUIPMENT he needs and let him win this WAR.
AP sources: Obama eyes smaller Afghan troop option

WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama is considering sending large numbers of additional U.S. forces to Afghanistan next year but fewer than his war commander, Gen. Stanley McChrystal, prefers, U.S. officials said. Such a narrowed military mission would escalate American forces to accomplish the commander's broadest goals, protecting Afghan cities and key infrastructure. But the option's scaled-down troop numbers likely would cut back on McChrystal's ambitious objectives, amounting to what one official described as "McChrystal Light." Under the pared-down option, McChrystal would be given fewer forces than the 40,000 additional troops he has asked for atop the current U.S. force of 68,000, officials told The Associated Press.
Many of you know that I have maintained that America is under attack from two different 5th Columns.

This "Victory by these Imams and the Islamic CAIR" is typical of Victories in Europe, England etc THAT HAVE ADOPTED SOME SHIRA LAW - THIS MUST NOT HAPPEN IN AMERICA.
Note that the Obamanation Administration and the Marxist (Progressive) controlled Congress are allies of CAIR and this Islamic 5th Column, as is the Marxist ACLU, all are advancing their goal of creating the "USSR" of America. If successful will they still be allies is another question, I would bet that at that time they will suddenly be fighting over the PRIZE..

Flying Imams Victory Posted 10/26/2009 06:49 PM ET Homeland Security: A suspect Islamist group is gloating that a cash settlement in the so-called Flying Imams case is a "victory for civil rights." If it's a victory, it's one for future hijackers. Three years ago, six Islamic clerics sued US Airways and Minneapolis airport police for discrimination and false arrest after they were bounced from a Phoenix-bound flight for behaving much like the 9/11 hijackers. Some yelled "Allah, Allah, Allah," and changed their seats while asking for seat belt extensions they never used. Though situated throughout the cabin, the six men appeared to be acting in concert. Witnesses also said they loudly cursed the U.S. Also raising flags, half of them had no checked baggage and what appeared to be one-way tickets. The imams didn't seem to have a case ? until that is, they got liberal federal judge Ann Montgomery to hear it. A Clinton appointee, she denied the defendants' request for dismissal. And her ruling, strongly worded in favor of the plaintiffs, made it clear law enforcement wasn't immune from being sued. Convinced they wouldn't succeed at trial, the defendants settled. The imams' attorney ? a board member of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which financed the case ? says the deal involves an undisclosed amount paid to his clients by airport police. Details are sealed. The airport authority issued a statement saying insurance limits its liability to $50,000. "The settlement of this case is a clear victory for justice and civil rights," said CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad. These imams, whose leader admitted once supporting Osama bin Laden, are not the victims of discrimination. The victims are passengers who are now more vulnerable to terrorist attack. The settlement threatens to have a chilling effect on security at our nation's airports. Even pilots will now think twice about removing anyone, but especially Arabs or Muslims, behaving in a suspicious or threatening manner. Before the settlement, Awad tried to equate the case with a landmark civil-rights case. "If we win in this case," he intoned, "this will go down in history, like Rosa Parks did 50 years ago." But CAIR's agenda goes far beyond civil rights. The FBI says CAIR is a Hamas front and has cut off formal ties to it. The Justice Department has blacklisted the group as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terror finance case in U.S. history. And now some in Congress believe CAIR is a national security threat, and have called for an investigation into its aggressive lobbying against the Patriot Act and other post-9/11 security measures. The Hill probe is based in part on internal CAIR documents revealed in "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America," an expose of the radical Saudi-funded Muslim Brotherhood in America and its network of terror-supporting fronts. Internal documents also show that CAIR used the Flying Imams case to push Congress to "criminalize" anti-terrorist profiling by airlines. Despite the payoff, Minneapolis airport police insist they will remain "vigilant" in maintaining the security and safety of travelers. Thanks to CAIR, however, passengers will be left to wonder.

At some point Americans must say "enough's enough," or sit silently as all our precious liberties are taken away. The Democrats in Congress and the White House are pushing through the most sweeping changes toward direct government control of our economy since at least the Great Depression. Consider just a few news items from recent days: The Senate moves to give the Food and Drug Administration huge new power over what we eat and drink, and what medicine we take. A House panel OKs a new Consumer Finance Protection Agency that will have direct control over consumer credit from banks and businesses ? potentially killing a private system of consumer borrowing that, whatever its flaws, has led to unparalleled consumer wealth and access to credit. A new "bailout" is proposed for small businesses that will further distort markets, punish successful companies and reward failure. The opposite, in other words, of a free market economy. Execs of companies that took government bailouts get their pay slashed ? courtesy of U.S. "paymaster" Kenneth Feinberg. In ways large and small, it's easy to see we're building a nanny state that will make Europe's seem modest by comparison. After all, this doesn't even include health care "reform" or cap-and-trade. Soon, the federal government will control every aspect of our lives ? though the Constitution explicitly forbids it. This is the inevitable result of the massive expansion of government over the past year. The $700 billion TARP program, the $787 billion stimulus, a planned "second stimulus," $13 trillion in new debt over the next decade ? inevitably, we'll see new government controls and regulations on nearly everything. "They are awakening a vast regulatory apparatus with authority over nearly every U.S. workplace, 15,000 consumer products and most items found in kitchen pantries and medicine cabinets," the Washington Post has observed. Too bad none of it's working. White House economic adviser Christina Romer acknowledged Thursday the stimulus is running out of steam ? despite the $194 billion spent. Meanwhile, the TARP czar admits that, despite comments last year that the bailout could end up paying for itself, very little of the more than $700 billion will be paid back. What do we get? A slow-growing economy, fewer jobs, government-controlled incomes and trillions in new debt. Some nanny.

Now NATO declares their support of General Mc Crystal's plan to increase the troops and provide the Necessary Equipment for the campaign in Afghanistan.

Nato defence ministers signalled their backing for the Afghan strategy put forward by the American commander General Stanley McChrystal yesterday in an implicit rejection of the alternative plan proposed by US Vice-President Joe Biden.
The general had made an unscheduled appearance at the meeting of ministers in Bratislava, Slovakia, to give a presentation behind closed doors. Anders Fogh Rasmussen, the Nato secretary general, said: "What we did today was to discuss General McChrystal's overall assessment, his overall approach, and I have noted a broad support from all ministers of this overall counter-insurgency approach."
The US Defence Secretary, Robert Gates, said he was at the summit "mainly in a listening mode" with his Nato counterparts. Significantly, he added: "Many allies spoke positively about General McChrystal's assessment."
The general has asked for between 20,000 and 40,000 extra troops to implement his counter-insurgency strategy. This is being opposed by an influential faction led by Vice-President Biden who has spoken against sending large-scale reinforcements and wants, instead, to concentrate on a counter-terrorism mission hunting al-Qa'ida across the border in Pakistan.
Diplomatic sources say Nato endorsement of General McChrystal has led to anger in the Biden camp. They had criticised the commander for promoting his strategy, including on a visit to London, while President Barack Obama is still weighing up the options.
In Britain, the head of the Army, General Sir David Richards, has led allied military leaders in stressing that "more boots on the ground" were needed to establish security. The UK is already committed to sending 500 extra troops although the actual deployment will not be mounted until President Obama announces his decision.
Just like Putin in "Mother Russia" our Islamic Chairman Obama and the Congressional Commissars, like Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Franks, Kerry, etc, etc, are preparing to SHAFT America with a "Public Option" a STEALTH Version of the "Single Payer".

With it, Euro-style socialism becomes inevitable. It's time for a bipartisan way out of this disaster. Last week proved Democrats want as much big government control as possible in the huge medical sector of the economy. The president's advisers said he's still committed to a government-run public option, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi lined up three versions of such a plan and the Senate majority leader announced a public plan with a state opt-out. Why is the public option back at all? It seemed dead after a study earlier this year indicated such a plan would mean private health insurers could lose nearly 120 million customers. Described as being "prized by liberals as a fundamental pillar of reform," the public option is really a way to put capitalistic America on a path toward socialized medicine. Senate Banking Committee Chairman Barney Frank, a longtime co-sponsor of single-payer legislation, said in July, "I think the best way we're gonna get single-payer, the only way, is to have a public option and demonstrate its strength and its power." Why not just enact single-payer? "We don't have the votes for it," Frank replied. The public option was conceived by leftist organizations such as the Campaign for America's Future years ago because polls showed the American people liked private health insurance and would never go for a direct government takeover. Ex-Sen. John Edwards' presidential campaign embraced it as "stealth single-payer," and the campaigns of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama followed suit. Renegade Republican Sen. Olympia Snowe of Maine may be the one to thank if this new medical entitlement becomes reality, at a time when government accountants warn that Washington is spending the country toward a fiscal doomsday. The president is reportedly smitten with Snowe's public option "trigger" â?? an idea that comes down to this: If private insurers charge customers more than Uncle Sam dictates as they deal with all the new costs Washington imposes, the federal government will become their unfair competitor and wreck the private health insurance industry. With or without a government-run option, the Democrats' radical transformation of the greatest health care system in the world still means reams of new regulations on private insurers, including the likely end of anti-trust protection. It means fines for those â?? especially the young â?? who won't buy what will become high-priced insurance. It may slap uncooperative employers with an 8% payroll tax. And it may impose a $460 billion, 5.4% income tax surcharge sure to kill private sector jobs. It's time for new ideas, like the expanded private coverage options of the Patients' Choice Act, backed by Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., and Sens. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., and Richard Burr, R-N.C. As Ryan warns, the federal government would run health care "with the compassion of the IRS, the efficiency of the Post Office and the incompetence of Katrina."
